Kody: When i get to our apartment, Claire is crying. I kneel down and hug her, rubbing her back soothingly.
"Hey Claire-bear, what's wrong sweetie?" I ask her gently.
"W-we're moving!" she sniffles, burying her face in my shoulder.
"yeah, didn't mom tell you?"
"No! I m-mean, w-we're m-moving tomorrow n-night," she sobs, hugging me tightly. but i'm frozen. what? We weren't supposed to move for another...week..
i gulp, continuing to rub Claire's back and hugging her back
"It's gonna be ok," i whisper sadly.
"No it's not! i dont wanna say goodbye to my friends!" she looks at me with a tear streaked face. i frown.
"Me neither, Claire, me neither."

i was thinking about going through with my plan for when Kody moves -- because it's not a huge thing and we mainly need Alaric for it -- but it doesn't matter to me ^^

Kody: I think about calling Alaric, then i don't. then i think about it again...and then i can't. Eventually -- after 10 minutes of sitting around aimlessly -- i call him. When he doesn't pick up at first, i just leave a message.
"Hey, it's Kody. I just...I kinda need to talk to you. So, when you get this, call me back, or i'll just meet you by the lake," since we didn't get to it the other night, i add mentally. "I'll talk to you soon," i hang up and start heading for the lake right away.
I have to come up with a good way to tell him i'm moving tomorrow. but i don't know how.

Alaric : Irvin pats my eats and helps me put on my hat before i'm off to the lake. Fall had dawned us so suddenly that we almost didn't have time to prepare. "Will you be okay with out me?" He asks by the door while i slip on my shoes. I nod at him. "Its just the lake with Kody," I say and stand up again. He doesn't say anything for a long moment and just kisses me. I hug him once and get downstairs and into the car in the next minute.

Kody: I curl up on a bench that overlooks the lake and stare out at it, for once not tired at all. The coolness of this morning was actually refreshing and it made me smile. then i remembered why i was here and my smile faded. I played with the frayed end of my dark ember scarf, my forehead creased as i continued to think about what i was going to say to him.

Alaric : I shove my hands into my pockets and loop around the lake shore until i sport Kody's ever changing hair glowing amongst the still dark sky. "Hey," I say quietly when i near her. I take a seat next to her and suddenly i'm enveloped in a familiar melancholic atmosphere. i frown.

kody: I look over at him with a smile. "Hey," I let out a deep breath, noting how my hair had changed to a dark orange to match with my scarf. I roll my eyes.
"I'm color coordinated today," I say sarcastically, trying to lighten the mood just a little bit.

Kody: i chew on my bottom lip. "So you know i'm moving," I start slowly, "Well, my mom thought it would be amusing to change the moving date." I finish with a weak sad smile.
