Kody: I sigh, flicking the black strands of hair that border my face away. again. There's no way that this will turn out well. i mean, there are people here that i used to know when i was way younger. like Asher. he's two years older than me though. i think we used to have play dates or something when we were like, 5 and 7.
"Kody? Kody Lassiter!"
I wheel around, hoping i can hide behind a few older girls that i don't know.
"Hey, funny seeing you here," Asher grins down at me.
"Yeah, ha-ha," I say with a faint smile before it fades.
"So, it's been years, hasn't it?"
"Yep. more than ten," I look away and for an escape route. There's Alaric and Irvin.
"I gotta, yeah. Bye," I walk away quickly and hurry to where Irvin and Alaric are just walking in.

Alaric : I felt odd in a dress blazor, black shirt, black pants and red tie. It just didn't seem natural for me. I sigh and see Kody. Irvin waves to her and i ask whats up. she looks distressed.

Kody: "Asher is stalking me," I can feel his eyes on my back. The only memory i have of him is when we fought over a purple marker. he shoved me into a coffee table. i still have a scar. you could say i hold a mean grudge.

Alaric : I blink and glance over her shoulder, sure enough hes glaring. My frown. "Want me to fix his problem?" I ask, turning back to her.

Kody: I shake my head. "I'm just trying to avoid turning to stone by looking at him." I pull at the thin strap that holds up my dress. It feels like bugs are crawling over my skin.

Alaric : "Okay," I say, shrugging and walking towards the dinning room. When shes not looking i use my mod to make the punch bowl explode on him. I hide a secret smirk.
"That wasn't very nice," Irvin says, passing me up slowly.

Kody: As i'm about to go back over to Alaric and Irvin, but my mom grabs my arm and drags me to where she's talking with a bunch of other surgeons.
"Kody, meet Jason."
I glance at him. average.
"Hi,"
"Hey," he's not even looking at me. he looks pretty bored. i must look the same because when he glances over at me, his lips twitch into what i think is a smirk before goes back to looking around the room.
"Ok, well i'm going to go and--"
"Oh stay and talk, sweetie," My mom smiles this fake smile that makes my blood boil.
"Sure mom. why. not." i say, forcing a smile back at her.

Alaric : I try not to scowl as Kody's mother pass by me. Irvin walks me to the dinning room. He knows better than to kiss me here but somehow i find that i wouldn't mind it. Everyone knew that i wasn't exactly straight now. I sigh and sit next to him.
"Something wrong?" He asks me, worry splashed in his eyes.
I nod. "Kody's leaving.." I sigh.

Kody: I pretend to enjoy myself but really i'm thinking, 'someone get me the hell out of here'. I catch Jason's eye every so often and he has the same look of boredom. obviously he's not worried about staying inconspicuous.
"So, my son would.."
i glance away, hiding a yawn.
"Of course my little Kody would--"
"what?" I snap, then blush when they all stare at me.
"You'd go out to dinner with Jason and his family some day wouldn't you?"
"No."
"What?" my mom's eyes darkened. jason's eyes were on me now.
"No, i have...previous engagements,"
"You never told me-"
"well i do," i turn on my heel, hoping i'd see someone else here that i could talk to since i'd lost sight of Alaric and Irvin.
