Kody: "I'm going to go for a walk, ok?" I say to him quietly before walking away from the warmth and towards the actual ocean. what's the point of wasting it when it's right there, right?

Sol: I look to see the two girls dancing and sigh, so much for drinks. Farther out I see Kody walking towards the ocean. "Uh, hey guys, I gotta go. Here, have these, on me." I pass them the girls drinks and head to see what Kody was doing, sipping at my own drink.

Kody: as i get closer to the waves coming in, i stop just where the water rolls up to before heading back out again. It washes over my feet and i smile. the ocean is still nice and warm compared to the coolness of the air. it's a good thing i wore my hoodie.

Kody: I jump when i hear Sol's voice behind me. I turn to look at him. "I just felt like i had to get out of there. I don't know why," I shrug half heartedly and look back out at the ocean.

Dylan: I see Rae start dancing with a guy and shrug, continuing dancing by myself. But I keep an eye on her just incase, not wanting her to go crazy.

Sol: I frown. "Don't worry. I know how you feel. It's probably why I followed you out here."

Kody: "yeah, it is." I wiggle my toes out from where sand is starting to make look like i'm sinking. quick sand. i wonder if it's a slow death once you're under. i grimace. i cease to amaze myself at how suicidal i always sound. I sigh, looking over to Sol. "So, you're not exactly enjoying your lif--i mean, the party either?" i clear my throat. Not everyone is as welcoming at the idea of dying so soon as you are, i chastise myself.

Kody: I look away. "just life in general." i blurt. then i decide to just tell him. might as well since he's asking.
"It's just...everyone seems to be happy with someone. but i'm too...afraid to." i say quietly. "Something happened last year that i'm afraid is just going to repeat itself. That's why. because my best friend is off with some guy and i thought i'd be ok with it, but i'm not."
