I take a sip of the coffee, tears sliding down my cheeks.

Alex: Alex walked over to a booth and slumped down into a chair, sliding down the red leather, sighing as he did. He sat alone to his thoughts in the booth, staring down at the small pill in his hand.
"Hello sir, can I get you anything to drink?"
The sound of the waitress shook Alex from his trrance and he quickly jumped back up in his seat.
"Uh, yeah, water will be fine, thanks,"
"Okay, I'll get you your water in a minute." She chimed as she turned and walked away.
Alex stared back down at his little pill, thinking in his quiet little box of a booth, separated from the rest of the world. But then he hears something, something quiet, but powerful enough to break through his box. He hears soft sobs from behind.
He turns, and sees someone in the booth, crying softly to themselves.
"Hey..." Alex says as gently as he can, "Are you alright?"

kieran; as i walk in the diner i notice and that a guy had ears i knew i shouldn't ask about but curious got me and i started walk over to him to ask him about them

Alaric : Kody had to leave early. Her mother had wanted a full on make over done before her date.
Not that she needed it, i thought, playing with my egg.

Alaric : I look up and see some random chick. "What?" I ask, i don't understand what shes trying to say. I just heard the ear part.

I look up hearing someone ask me a question and shrug, "I'm not but I will be eventually." I say, my hands warming up from the coffee. I wipe away my tears and give the guy a reasuring smile. "I'm Raela."

Kody: I peek back in. God, i really didn't like this. The mascara restricted me from rubbing my eyes, the lipgloss made so that i can't freaking drink anything until it dries, and i hate the fact that the only way my mom notices me anymore is if i'm about to go on some date.
I walk over to the table, chewing my lip. I stop abruptly though when i taste the lipgloss on my tongue. and people say it tastes good. it doesn't.
I sit down across from Alaric again, clasping my hands on the table surface.
"Um, hey," i greet quietly.
