Kody: I stretch out my legs in front of me and wiggle my toes. "I do," I glance over at him. "I also know how strange it is for you to be wanting my company to talk," I raise an eyebrow at him. "So, go ahead." i gesture for him to start.

Alaric : My ears drupe but i proceed. Tail swaying i say in a shy whisper, "You think i'm gay right?"

Kody: I blink, "Well, yeah..." I trail off, scratching the back of my head. This conversation was destined for awkwardness. just a hunch. "Why?"

Alaric : I look up at her and frown. "I should be asking you that. Why do you think i'm gay?" Why does everyone think im gay?..

Kody: "Ok, see, the last time i'd seen you was with Jonathan, right? And then now you've got a something going on with that Irvin guy...unless that's not the case," I feel my face warm over from the look he's giving me. i can tell he's not very happy about that. or..i don't even know. I sigh.
"I'm sorry Alaric, i know i shouldn't be assuming things like that, and frankly, i couldn't really care less. You're my best friend" maybe my only real friend "and i just want you to know i'm here. 'kay?" i finish.

Alaric : I sigh and go over and lay my head on her lap. My ears move, i suddenly want to cuddle her. "Fine. But..yes i did love jonathan but no i didn't want to do him or anything. Two, Theres nothing going on with me and Irvin because Irvin is a man-whore and i don't want him either," I say. "Honestly i want to be with you most of the time," I say and find that i'm telling the truth.

Kody: I manage a small smile. "That's sweet of you, Al," I say quietly, laughing a little as one of his cat ears twitch. "So, i'm not exactly so sure about the cat-effect," i smirk down at him.

Alaric : I glance up at her, i can feel my ears moving happily as she touches them. "What do you mean?"

Kody: I smirk, "You're a cute little kittie, i have to say..but, i just...i never thought you'd actually go through with this kind of mod." I shrug lightly, taking my hands back so that i can lean back on them. I look up at the sky. "But things change i guess." I murmur to myself.

Alaric : "I didn't plan to get them. Stanford said they were from my mom...so i kinda didn't really have a choice in whether i took them or not..but eventually i can get rid of them," as the meaning of what that entitled sets in i settle into another blush and close my eyes tight. Or maybe..i would have to deal with them for the rest of my life... "I'm not the only one wearing them though. A lot of little kids have them...some teens.." not that that made me feel any better.

Kody: I close my eyes. "It's fine. You're still Alaric underneath, you know." I say quietly.

Alaric : "Which means im still a bitchy brooding child, huh?" I whisper, my tail swaying in the sand and then curling around one of Kody's hands.

Kody: I open my eyes and look down at him again. "Pretty much," I say with a grin. "I still love ya, though." then i back track. "I mean, as a friend, and you know what i mean, right?" i ask quickly, my face reddening. Oh crap.

Alaric : I nod, "Of course, you since i may be gay and all..." I sigh. I reach around my tail and hold Kody's hand. Its more comfortable this way. Just having her with me. I press my cheek into her hand. Maybe it was because i knew she didn't hold any malice feelings towards me. I didn't have to worry about her hating me for something. I didn't have to worry about losing her..at lest not yet. "So when are you going to get a boyfriend? As you're possibly new gay friend i guess i have to inspect him or something," I smile weakly up to her before kissing her hand.

Kody: I roll my eyes. "I doubt i'll be dating anyone for awhile," i shrug, looking away from him. I really didn't want a repeat of last year's incident. I frown a little. "Yeah, you don't have to worry about that," I mutter.

Kody: i almost ask him if he wants to go out to eat or something -- i kinda forgot in my morning daze -- when my a call starts streaming in. I let out a deep breath. it's my mom.
"Hey mom," I answer, pressing my lips into a tight line. "what? but i'm--fine. wait, no! i will not--" she hangs up on me. i run my fingers through my hair and look down Alaric.
"Scratch that last thought. i have a date tonight." I say with mock enthusiasm.

Alaric : "Yay," I chuckle, sitting up. My tail sways up like a snack who just got mad at its master for waking it up. I blink at it. "I hate this," I mutter and look back at Kody, "Which who?" I ask, curious.

Kody: I shrug. "Some guy my mom is apparently setting me up with. I think he's another surgeon's son that my mom is friends with." I wonder when my mom got friends, i think bitterly. "She says i need to get out more." I say coldly. see what i mean? My mom doesn't think i get out side!

I lay down the picture of me and my sis, crying soundlessly. I stand and walk to a diner(the one everyone is at) and walk in. I get a table in a corner and its dark over there.
