Re: X-Men character chat
Woah, when I ride a motobike I'm gonna ride it with a top hat instead of a helmet XD
Scarlett sighed, slipping down the wall in her room. She'd already given her the tour and it was getting kinda late, well for Amara anyway, "Come on, time you get into bed... You're only eight so you're gonna go when I went when I was your age; 7:30. No complaints, come on," she pulled out a small suitcase that someone had packed for her after she arrived here; enough cloths to survive a while. With a sigh, she took her long black hair down, flipping it infront of her face, "I'll be back in a bit, I just need to go get something from class," okay, she needed a smoke but it didn't matter, "When I come back I want you in bed, okay?"

Re: X-Men character chat
(Tarrant's gonna start a new trend in motorcycle head gear. Goodbye helmets and bandanas. Hello top hats.)
"Alright," Amara said dejectedly, pretending to pout. She crossed her arms and looked down at the ground. Then, she suddenly looked up at Scarlett. "The 7:30 bedtime applies to Luna and Sol, too, right? 'Cuz otherwise, they stay up and watch T.V. all night." She knew because one night, she couldn't fall asleep due to the slightly muffled voices she heard coming from the living room. She also saw a soft glow under the door. Until that night, she hadn't known that mice could work television sets. Apparantly, though, they could.

(It'll be on the cover of Vogue and Motocylce Weekly darling!)
"How old are they? Anyway, if I let them stay up then you'll too because my TV is tiny," I pointed to it, "And I don't want the glare to wake me up! I'll be grumpy if I do and hou won't like me grumpy..." she said in a serious rone before shutting the door, remembering to grab a lighter and walked out to her little spot to it.

"First, the term is 'psychic,'" Tarrant answered, "Second, how exactly do you propose I do that?"
"Come on," the man said, exasperated, "Don't you know anything. Boss man said you could do some voodoo thing and get us back in a matter of seconds."
"I don't know where he heard that from," Tarrant said truthfully, "And, trust me, I'll be fine without a helmet. I've got a hat." He pointed to his tophat.
The man shrugged, "Suit yourself. Nirvano help you if we get in a crash."
With that, both men boarded the motorcycle and were off.
Sapphire: I continued to fallow them. Where were they going? And who was this boss guy? Did I even want to meet him? Should I keep fallowing or tell charles? I made up my mind and kept fallowing them.

"Fine," Amara said, dragging the word out very long and slow. Regardless, she put on her pajamas, cotton shorts and a t-shirt bearing the slogan When Milk Goes Bad. It had a picture of a frowning milk carton, a carton of eggs, and one egg on the ground that was smashed to bits. Apparantly, the milk had gone bad and started murdering poor little eggs. Amara thought it was kind of sad, but they were the only pajamas she had with.
She crawled into bed, Luna and Sol sat on the pillow. "Now," she said to them, copying Scarlett's stern tone, "No T.V. It'll keep Scarlett up, and she wouldn't like that."

"Finally, freedom," she pulled out the pack of cigarettes and sighed with relief that she had some. Pulling on out, her ears pricked up to a conversation in the woods. With a shrug of her shoulders, she lit it up and walked through to try and find the source of the noise.

Re: X-Men character chat
The motorcycle roared down the dirt road. The road was very small and surrounded by trees on both sides. The man stopped by a large boulder on the side of the road. He walked over to the boulder with Tarrant following.
The man turned to Tarrant. "I realize I never told you my name," he said, "I'm Rex."
Tarrant nodded once, "Very nice to meet you, Rex."
"Right then," Rex said, turning back to the boulder. He tapped on it three times in three different spots. "Two going in," he announced to it, "Operative 22 and a guest of Houdini's."
A door opened in the side of the boulder and Tarrant followed Rex through it.
Before them stood a castle. As they stepped onto the castle grounds, it was as though a fog had been lifted from Tarrant's mind. A rush of memories flooded his mind.
"This is where I leave you," Rex said, "I have other errands to run for the boss man. Erika'll take you the rest of the way." As he said it, a young woman, presumably Erika, walked up behind them and tapped Tarrant on the shoulder. Both men turned to look at her. They Rex winked at her, but she all but ignored him. Looking only at Tarrant, she said, "Houdini wishes to see you, sir."
Rex shook his head slightly when Erika ignored him. He turned and left with a soft incredulous mutter of, "Women. Five years we've worked together, and she doesn't know I exist."
Erika led Tarrant through the castle's giant front door. Then through a huge series of twisting corridors and winding staircases. Eventually, they ended up in a large throne room.
(These next few posts are gonna be kinda long. I've been planning them out since yesterday.
Don't worry, though. I have a way to bring in Scarlett.)

Okay, man they'll be long... Do you want me to chase or to be gob smacked?
"Okay, motorbike," she nodded and lent against a tree, puffing up smoke into the tree above her, "Thanks God, you really do make things easy for me... Do you hate me?" she looked up and sighed, nothing, "I'll take that as a yes," she shook her head and tapped some ash off of her cancer stick coughing slightly.

Re: X-Men character chat
"If it pleases the great Houdini," Erika said to the man sitting on the throne, "Tarrant has arrived." She then excused herself from the room and closed the great oaken doors behind her.
"It's been far too long since we've last seen each other, Tarrant," the man said.
"It has, Harrison," Tarrant agreed, "Brothers shouldn't remain apart for so long."
"One of my soldiers saw your little... escapade back at that school on Earth. I must say, I've never known you to be so unstable," Harrison said smiling.
"You know full well that wasn't me," Tarrant said calmly, "I also hope you know that it's against the Code to have a Swayer on Earth."
Harrison laughed a little, "Of course I do, but a Swayer was the only way to get you to come here."
"May I ask why you wanted me to come here?" Tarrant asked.
"Well now, isn't that the million-dollar question," Harrison said, "It has to do with a certain legend. The Diamond. Do you remember?"
"Every child on Akra is taught it, even the gods," Tarrant said, waiting for Harrison to continue.
"Yes, I never quite understood why we gods had to learn all the legends. But I'm glad we did," Harrison said, smiling, "That particular one was so very interesting, I did researched it for years. I went through every library Akra has. And I found out something very interesting indeed."
Just as Amara was about to fall asleep, she found herself lying on a bed of pine needles. She sat up and saw she was out in the forest by the school. Looking around, she saw Scarlett standing a few feet from her. She yawned and rubbed her eyes.
Rex came back through the door in the boulder. Why did he have to go get these people? Why in Havvel couldn't Houdini just use his teleporter? He grumbled in irritation as he climbed back on the bike. He rode back to the school and, sure enough, there were the two girls.

"Shit!" she shouted as she took one last puff of her cigarette and stumped it out on her wrist, quicker than lightening, "What are you doing out here? I told you to be in bed!" she pointed back to the school, "Now!" she was getting incredibly annoyed incredibly fast; not good for her. Her ears pricked up as she heard the noise of the motorbike return, the helmeted (not tophatted) guy was coming, "Get behind me," she pressed her back, touching her arm; she had a useful power. As she did the clouds formed overhead, spatters of rain came falling down, "Where's Tarrant?"

"And that would be... ?" Tarrant said, wishing Harrison would just get on with it.
"Why don't you repeat the legend?" Harrison said.
Tarrant sighed, his brother had never been one to get to the point. All the same, he boredly recited the legend of The Diamond. "Thus a child of glistening diamond shall be borne unto the gods," he finished, "And he shall be Jewel of Akra."
"What the legend doesn't say," Harrison said, "Is how many weaknesses this "Jewel" has." He laughed a little. "Oh, poor Tarrant. I suppose you had to figure them all out for yourself. If the books about the legend are true, you can't go near a whole list of things. Sea water, willow trees, granite- the list goes on and on."
"Yes," Tarrant said boredly, "Such a nuisance, isn't it?"
"But, do you want to know what else the book said?" Harrison said, smiling evilly.
"Enlighten me," said Tarrant.
"It goes on to say: The Jewel of Akra is said to have many unmatchable strengths. He will have powers that even the other gods only dream of. However, it is said that these powers may be gained by a blood relative of the Jewel. A close relative could gain the Jewel's unimaginable power through the consumption of the Jewel's blood."
Amara huddled behind Scarlett. What was going on? She was terrified. Wind began whipping through the forest.
For whatever reason, the wall that had been preventing Tarrant from getting out was no longer there. Rex walked up to the girls, holding his hands up in surrender. "Hey, easy, easy. Tarrant's fine. he told me to come get you two."

"We don't want anything to do with the bar-" she began but remembered that there was an eight year old huddling behind her, "him. He's a coward and I have no idea who the hell you are and what you want but I suggest you stay clear," her voice was strong, she to because of Amara; she felt like she had a kinda duty to her, Mr Xavier said so, "Get out of here, now!" she put her hands up infront of her, the wind whipped around the girls, lifting Scarlett's fringe, the hidden eye kinda glowing; a semi-evil smile rose to her pierced lips, she was in for a pound now.

"So, let me get this straight. Your whole plan is to gain power by drinking my blood?" Tarrant said disbelievingly.
"Essentially, yes," Harrison said.
"Trust me, the powers aren't all they're cracked up to be," Tarrant said.
"But what powers they must be- to have reality bend to your will. I could be the most powerful man in the universe," Harrison said gleefully.
"Yeah... Or not. Seeing as I'm going to leave now," Tarrant said, then snapped his fingers. Nothing happened.
"Erika is a power-negator," Harrison explained smirking, "Your powers won't respond for a good few hours yet. Even when they do work again, I'm afraid it will be too late. By the time they work, they'll be my powers." He pulled a dagger from the scabbard at his side. "And here is the blade that will help me do it." The blade was deepest black and glinting.
"You do know that a regular knife won't work, don't you?" Tarrant said confidantly.
"Of course," Harrison said, "That's why I had to create a new metal: Zilonium."
"What if I don't believe that'll work either?"
"I'll prove it to you," Harrison said. He gestured for one of his guards to step forth. The guard seized Tarrant's wrist and pulled his shirt sleeve up. He raised his own dagger as if to slice Tarrant's hand off at the wrist. The blade, however, glanced off Tarrant's skin leaving behind no damage.
Harrison smiled a little, "I've always found that funny. You literally are a 'child of glistening diamond.'" He stood up and walked over to Tarrant. "Now, watch what my dagger does."
Harrison placed the flat edge of the blade on the inside of Tarrant's forearm. It seared his skin like acid. Tarrant bit his lip to keep from crying out. Harrison chuckled and pressed the blade down harder. Tarrant's eyes shut tight and his whole body grew tense.
Harrison finally wrenched the knife away. It came away dripping with white flesh and silver blood. Harrison wiped the blade off on his handkerchief. "I must say, "I'll need quite a lot more blood than that."
Tarrant pulled his shirt sleeve down again and held his arm tight against his stomach.
"I suppose I should tell you," Harrison continued, "There'll be an audience. The whole of Akra's capital city and a few students of yours from that Earth school. As soon as the two from Earth get here, we'll head off to the capital."
Rex shrugged. He had to shout to be heard over the wind. "I didn't want it to have to come to this, but-" He pulled a small black remote out of his jacket pocket. "Shame to waste all the energy on this stupid little errand," he said to himself, "It'll take a few years to charge it again." He pushed a button on it and a bubble of light grew out of it. It surrounded the three people and lifted them up off the ground. Then, it disappeared, taking Rex, Scarlett, and Amara with it.

(Well, to explain: The bubble is a remote teleporter. It's taking them from Earth to Akra, Tarrant's home planet.)
"Hey, you know there's a little girl in here, right? Take it easy on the swearing," Rex said. He leaned against the wall of the bubble. Stupid remote teleporters. They always took forever to get places. "So," he said, trying to make conversation, "Why exactly do you hate Tarrant so much?"

"Whatever," she leant against the bubble and slid down it, putting her head phone into her ear, "Because Tarrant ruined the school; blew it up and almost killed some students. Plus he has a terrible dress sense..." she smiled at her little joke. She put her arm out as Amara came into her. She rested her head onto hers, "Why though? Why should I be here, I mean, I'm just a girl in a bubble going off to- That's a point! Where are we going to?!"

"Akra," Rex answered, "It's a planet in a different dimension, so it'll take this stupid bubble awhile to get there. Anyways, you hate him 'cuz he blew up your school? I thought kids were supposed to hate school." This whole time, he still hadn't even taken off his helmet.

"Eh, not so much with mine," Rex said, "You'd ask me to put the helmet on again the minute I took it off." He put his gloved hands into the pockets of his jacket. "I don't have any special powers. And, yes, a different planet. Didn't you know, Tarrant is, as you humans call them, an alien?"

"Really? Of course you don't... I know you dug him out, don't play stupid, and I don't care about appearances, I have seen things that no one should see," she shivered as she remembered what her friend told her to type in... That wasn't a real waffle... "And why noit with yours'? You said that so you're contradicting and so you're lying which means you do which backs up my earlier point."

"I said no 'special powers.' All my people have control over dirt. And, fine, if you insist, I'll take the helmet off," Rex said, taking his hands out of his pockets. He undid the strap and pulled the helmet off. His was the head of an ant; complete with antenae and pincers.

Re: X-Men character chat
(Yup)
"Whoa," she said simply, "No wonder with the dirt then," she giggled, then she thought about it. She was in a bubble going to an alien planet with an ant-human-thing that can speak... Right, "So is Tarrant like you? Or are you and him like different races and you're being enslaved to do this because you're master wants Tarrant to use him as a pawn for his game then he's gonna enslave the human race and use the mutants as his slaves as well as ant-people?" she crossed her legs and raised an eyebrow, waiting to see his reaction from her ramble.

Rex listened patiently to Scarlett's ramble. "First, this whole ant-head thing isn't what I usually look like. It's some stupid curse from a witch-doctor who got mad at me. Second, I wish I was like Tarrant. The dude's one of Akra's main Gods. Of course, I wouldn't wanna be him at the moment." The pincers moved and clicked as he spoke.

"God? He's a mad man! And why wouldn't you wanna be him?" answers brimmed to his mind, "Explain you weird thing!" she pointed at him, "How long 'til we're there anyway?"
