Will: I pull the picture out of my pocket again. In it was me, and a couple friends. I was holding hands with a girl my age. We both were smiling and were happy. "I-I miss them... When I ran into you two I didn't know i could get close again... to have friends again."

I blink, "Will, I'm so sorry that happened to you." I say, looking down. "At least you had people to survive with. You're lucky. I don't even know where my old ground is. And, I didn't know I become friends with people I barely know." Tears prickle behind my eyes, threatening to appear.

I blinked a few times then looked away blushing. My eyes sadden at the thought of James. Tears well up, sliding. "You remind me of an old friend. That's why I need to stay away so you don't get hurt...by me."

"I've been infected for a while. I didn't want to say anything. That's why I haven't been killed when the girl thing sliced my chest earlier or when the tank kept me from breathing. I'm able to have more strength because of it. I also get pain attacks because of the infection. I always have to take these pills so it's not as bad, but... I ran out. So it shortens my life span drastically."
