Fletcher watched as Shalena became surrounded by zombies. He panicked a bit. She didn't deserve this. He pressed a button that was on a remote in his pocket. The zombies didn't move. He panicked more and pressed it again. They slowly turned their heads.

I looked up and saw all of the zombies rushing towards Fletcher. "FLETCHER!" I screamed and looked around. I saw a pipe bomb and quickly lit it. I threw it away at the other side of the street and all of the zombies ran from him to it. When they surrounded the pipe bomb, it exploded, knocking me into another car. I blacked out when my head collided with the hood.

I moaned in pain, sliding off of the car and landing on the ground with a hard thud. I blacked out again.

Fletcher leaned Shalena against the side of the car. She seemed to be unconscious. The zombies were preoccupied with the device, but that wouldn't be for long.

I weakly opened my eyes and moaned in pain. "Ow." I whimpered as someone leaned me against something. I blinked and saw Fletcher. "You're okay." I whispered, glad.

"Yeah," Fletcher said, "And I hope you are too because we need to move. Now." He gestured to the zombies. A few were beginning to wander away from the device.

I nod, "Y-yeah." I say and weakly stand. Pain shot into every inch of my body and I collapsed to my side, my legs not able to hold me up.

I watched as the zombies started running towards us. "Crap." I whimpered and tapped the toe of my boot on the ground. A small and sharp knife popped out. I slid the knife into the trigger's space of my gun and kicked my foot up, launching it into the air. I lifted up my other arm, catching it and started to shoot at the zombies.

Fletcher was seriously impressed with how well equipped Shalena was. But, right now, no amount of equipment would save them. They needed to run. So they did.

I limped/ran, trying to keep up with Fletcher, even though I was leaning on his for support. I continued to shoot at the zombies in front of us.

"I don't suppose you have any medical supplies on you?" Fletcher asked, already knowing the answer. He set Shalena down against a wall and began to search for anything that would be useful.

I winced as my back touched the wall and I watched, breathing hard. I looked around and saw a cabinet with a red cross on it. "Over there, it has a red cross on it. Maybe that'll have some."

Fletcher opened the cabinet. In it was gause, antiseptic, tweezers, pain medication, and a box of Band-aids. "That's surprisingly convinient," Fletcher commented and proceeded to carefully pull the glass from Shalena's back.
