Re: Bars in the bar.
"Okay what?" Kenneth remarked, laughing. "Purgatory? No offense lady but uhh this is more like 'Hey let's mess around with a bunch of people'. That, and I don't believe in purgatory." ,he said and then faceplamed for knowing that he sounded like an agnostic jerk. "W-what I meant was, whoever did this, they know what they're doing."

Re: Bars in the bar.
Serra laughed out a bit.
"Obviously they know what they're doing. They were successfully able to get us into this bar by knocking us out with no recollection of it. They were also able to remove any source of contact to the outside world."

Alicia rolled her eyes, "Sweetheart, i've seen school teachers that can do that. They sell cellphone signal disruptors in walmart." She signed, "and as for no recollection, they likely gave us roofies- which were also fairly easy toget a hold of." and as for.no was out, were just not bring creative enough.

Re: Bars in the bar.
The guy gave a sigh of relief as Aerosmith came blasting from the other side of the room. It meant that he didn't have to listen to his dying iPod any more.
But then he turned his attention to the other conversation in the room, the more important one about what was happening and why, he gave a sigh, joining in at the right time to hear a girl talk about Wal-Mart.
She said "sweetheart". So patronizing. Yet she, by the sound of her voice and because she was talking about school when he had graduate years ago, seemed to be the youngest in that room.
How the world works.
But if she tried that on her, he would say something. Until then, he was going to keep the conversation as light as possible.
"But at least it was nice of them to keep the bar open," Ham commented, downing the rest of his drink, "They could have left us drinkless."
Then he truly would have gone insane. That beer was the only thing keeping him from trying to knock down the door with his head. That was probably a few good thing.

Re: Bars in the bar.
Molly sat up and scooched till she was sitting on the edge of her booth seat.
"Well, who defines purgatory? We really know nothing.. anyway... nevermind.." She mumbled.
She was scaring herself.
She couldn't handle that great beyond.
It scared her.
She looked up at the bar, it was tempting to order something alcoholic.
Try it at least.
If not here than where?
She looked down at her flat soda then made her way to the bar, excited and giddy butterflies flew around her tummy.
"Can.. Can I have a... beer?" She asked, a bit unsure of what to order.
Jeff sauntered back to the bar with a smile, some good music finally on.
"Well, at least we can be drunk and in despair. Nothing better and nothing more familiar, eh?" He laughed.
He took a last sip of his drink and motioned for more from the silent bartender.
"Who.. likes cats?" He asked randomly, feeling the need to fill the silence.
He was never one for silence.

Kenneth looked towards the direction of the question regarding felines. "They're okay. I'm more of a dog person. Have a husky back at my parents place."

Then Serra looked to the man who spoke about his husky.
"I used to have a Chocolate lab named Josh. He was ten when he passed away. I have a Wolfdog named Hunter now."

"I like cats," Alicia responded with a shrug. "They're cleaner than dogs, and quieter too." she responded, "I have one. She's a black tabby named Sasha. She loves to lay in the sun all day just nap..."

Re: Bars in the bar.
Ham had to blink a couple of times to register what everyone was talking about. Were they truly talking about animals? Cats? Pets?
"I'm allergic to cats," he murmured, running his hand through his hair, "Didn't bloody stop my little sister from getting one though..."
Yeah, so every time he went into the living room he had to sit on the other side of the room because of that little bundle of allergies, also known as Candy. He didn't get it. He wanted a pet and no matter how much he begged and begged for one, he wasn't allowed to have a pet, yet when his little sister asks, they immediately organise a trip to the pound.
"But I like dogs."

Re: Bars in the bar.
Jeff was chuckling to himself.
They actually took the bait?
They were having a conversation about cats.
Human social project complete, outcome? Pointless.
Apparently the fact that they were locked in a bar without anyway to get out didn't really matter, they had only touched upon it and as soon as a simple suggestion of another topic came up they switched.
"I think that there are more important things but whatever. Cats are great furry little balls of joy. Dogs apply to that category as well.... Anyone drunk yet?" He asked.
This was pretty rich.
Another experiment; how drunk were these people to actually seriously talk about cats?
Molly wasn't so confident.
She had a light beer in her hands and she already felt a bit promiscuous and rebellious. She hadn't even taken a sip.
She stared at it for a moment before looking up, the conversation having changed since she last paid any attention.
"Cats are cool." She said softly, "Dogs are too... neutral here.. Switzerland."
She grimaced.
She was a bit behind and lame as well.
Molly loved how her inner voice was one of optimism .

Kenneth sat upright, now quite bored of the talking. He was just not in the mood for such dilly dally. What they needed was a way out and all they were talking about was facts. "We need a way out of here."

Re: Bars in the bar.
Serra began to clap as she rolled her eyes.
"Way to state the obvious," she spoke sarcastically before slipping off the stool and fixing her shorts a little before stumbling a bit. "Shit...I just had to wear these fucking shoes..," she grumbled to herself, observing her black Jeffery Campbells.

Alicia shrugged, glancing down at her modest pink ballet flats the matched her top and frowned. "Has anyone tried breaking a window?" she asked, cocking her head to the side, "Maybe throw a chair through?"

Re: Bars in the bar.
Ham began to shook his head and did so for quite a little while in response to the younger girl...then he realised that they couldn't see him. It was a good thing that they couldn't see his flustering cheeks either.
"Have you not seen the windows? They're barred up. Even if you did smash the glass then you couldn't get passed the bars."
He gave a small sigh. Maybe there had been a nuclear explosion and the bar actually was a nuclear bunker and everyone else out there had died...
Maybe they had to repopulate the earth.
And with that thought in his head, it certainly was a good thing that no one could see him.

Re: Bars in the bar.
In the not-so-far distance, in the furthest corner of the room, a growling snore was heard, and a loud breathing suddenly became present. It was kind of sudden, but there lay a boy called Brendan, a tad behind, and hadn't quite woken up yet.
