Renji moved closer until her back was pressing against his chest as he situated himself behind her, holding her and gripping her hand tightly. "Shh...I know it hurts but it's going to be okay. Alright? I swear it Ashura Abarai," he promised firmly then realized that he used his last name instead of hers.
"Woops...Oh well...There's never perfect timing for that," he whispered then, with his other hand, slid a ring onto her finger.

Ashina's adible gasp could be heard as she felt the cool metal slide onto her finger, eyes watering, not from pain this time, but from joy, "Renji..." she whispered softly, a smile curling onto her lips. The moment was broken however when she screamed in pain once more, followed by, "FUCK!"
