There was a kid on the ceiling! At least Kiri knew that there were, certainly, others. Others. She had never met another gifted, powerful, whatever. And now she was surrounded. She walked on, staring at the boy on the ceiling.
"oof."
"Sorry. I'm really sorry, didn't notice, wasn't watching...." Kiri faded off, and looked at the person she had bumped into.

Fletcher saw a girl staring at him. He smiled triumphantly. In a continuing attempt to secure his position of respect in this 'school' he jumped, did a backflip midair, and landed perfectly on his feet next to the girl. "Hey there. I'm Fletcher."

I watched the boy in the corner show off, but kept it all to myself. I didn't even know why I came here... I flicked a bit of fire about my hands...

Kiri jumped. "Hello...Fletcher." She said, nervously.
"So what are you doing here, huh?"
Kiri didn't respond, only faded. She wanted to dissapear, so she did. She walked away, leaving the boy, Fletcher, standing there, looking befuddled.

I laughed as she left... Then stood up myself and headed towards the board and drew a picture of him with his face... Priceless, course it was all in super speed...

Falyn-- I released the breath I didn't realize I had holding when I realized it was just the wind against my door. I lifted up the corner of my shirt and touched the wound. I cursed under my breath when a stinging sensation filled my entire body. I rubbed my eyes and let go of my shirt, walking towards the door leading to the hall.

Fletcher glanced at a boy leaning against a wall, playing with fire. Fletcher toyed with the idea of sending a gust of air to blow out the fire. He decided not to do that... for now.

Fletcher looked at where the girl had just been. She was gone. Disturbances in the air told him that she had just turned invisible... or something like that. Fletcher stood, unsure of what to do or where to go.

"You new here?" I asked looking at my masterpiece... "Not too bad is it?" I asked, adding in a little more detail... It wasn't too bad, but not my best...

Falyn-- "Huh?" I asked, pointing to myself. "Me?"

"Yeah, I'm new," Fletcher said, and shrugged, "Don't really know why they want me. I'm not really any use to anybody, been living on the streets for years."

Kiri slipped around, hidden, on occasion accidentally knocking into someone. She was too nervous.
"WOULD ALL NEWCOMERS PLEASE COME TO THE MAIN AUDITORIUM!"
Kiri started on her way. There were small 'maps' on the walls, and she used these to find her way.
"WOULD ALL NEWCOMERS PLEASE COME TO THE MAIN AUDITORIUM!"
Loud voice system, or whatever they're called Kiri thought. SHe thought she was almost there.

Falyn-- "Guess not," I whispered to myself as the loudspeakers boomed overhead.

Fletcher heard an announcement over the PA system. He sighed and tried to find his way to the auditorium. City alleys and backways he could find his way through no problem. A confined school, where he couldn't travel by rooftop, would take some getting used to.

The large double doors were closed, and each had a sign saying 'Main Auditorium'. Kiri pushed against the door, and it swung open. She shook, jostling her appearance into someone more recognizable. She now had black hair, shining purple eyes, and was extremely tall. She couldn't do anything about her clothes, though. She appeared, and took a seat in one of the velvet, red chairs, at the very back of the auditorium. Near an exit, and far from the stage.

Fletcher sighed again. Everyone here would probably think he was just a show-off. He wasn't though. After years of living on the streets, confined buildings just didn't suit him. Eventually, he found the auditorium and perched on the back of one of the chairs. His balance was impeccable. He looked over and saw the girl from earlier was sitting in the chair next to him. "I don't believe I caught your name," Fletcher said to her.

Falyn-- I pushed through the large doors and found a seat. I sat down and closed my eyes, leaning back and preparing to fall asleep.

"Oh. It- It's Kiri." She was on the edge of her seat, and her knees came up close to her chest. "How did you know?"
"Know what?" Fletcher asked.
"That it's me. The same person."

"I dunno," Fletcher lied. The truth was too weird. The truth was that he recognised her breath and the way the air moved around her. Something about the way she looked at him told Flethcer that Kiri knew he was lying.

Falyn-- I tossed and turned in my sleep. Suddenly, I sat up and balled my hands into fists. Before I figured out what I had done, the pipes in the audotorium burst, causing water to go spraying all over everything. I cursed under my breath again and stood up, throwing my hands over my head, to stop the water from coming down.

A drop of rain splattered on Kiri's head. "What the..." Something had burst. She stood up. "Anyway. Well. Um. What do you do?"
"Do?" Fletcher repeated.
"Don't play stupid. I know you do something. Or else, how could you recognize me?"
Fletcher stared at her a moment before answering.

Fletcher looked up at the freak shower that had just hit the auditorium. He splayed his fingers slightly, causing an invisible gust of air to circle around him, drying him off. "I'm just really agile," he lied again. He leapt off the back of the chair.

Falyn-- "Can someone help me over here?" I shouted, annoyed that I was the only one trying to do something. I know I was the one who caused it, but still...

"And that explains so well how you managed to walk on the ceiling, and so far, stay dry." Kiri said. And how you recognized me, she added silently. "Keep it up. At some point, you might be able to tell a lie I'll actually believe. In oh so many years."
Kiri got up, and faded. She wanted to see some kind of shock on his face. The showoff.

Fletcher sighed, something he'd been doing a lot of since he came to this school. Everyone disliked him, despite his attempts. Maybe it was a mistake to come here. He was as unneeded here as he was back on the streets.
