Nikki nodded. "Alright." she'd heard guys say they'd be back lots of times but she swallowed her suspicion and fear in favor or trusting him. He'd never done anyhing to betray her trust so there was no reason to doubt him.

Nikki heard something...a voice telling her this would be no different and that she knew it. That he was gone for good and had just left her behind like the others but she blocked it out. She also felt a jolt of anger.
