Smoke? Almost there then.
Ilia looked down to her map and then behind her, rolling her eyes at the group that got lost and pleaded for help. She was just glad that afterwards, they were going to have a surprise: this was just a warm-up for the rest of the mountains.
"They are pathetic, aren't they?" she muttered to herself before stopping on a rock on the side, "Okay guys! Last stop until we reach camp!"
There was a wave of cheers like she was some sort of saviour or something. She had a thought on where she should leave without any of them noticing to see if their common sense was working or not. With a nod to herself, she quickly got up and headed to the base, about a mile away.
She hadn't seen a sign of Lizzie and Evan but knowing her luck they overtook when she was dealing with the rest of the buffoons straying into bandit territory. That was so going to get them killed because none of them like a Blood.

Evan and Lizzie had reached base at nightfall. Nothing bad or stupid had happened to his surprise. He still felt however that Lizzie was taking a slight advantage in him.

Ilia smiled as she walked into the main hut. There, standing, was a woman and two men, none with hoods or robes on, but instead some sort or uniform.
"A lovely evening to be out, Young Blood. I hope that you saw no trouble?"
The woman spoke, her bright green eyes a complete contrast to thr crimson of her hair. She was pretty though, yet something about her was strong and warrior-like.
"It was fine, thank you. The others in my group should be arriving in the morn though; they thought it safer to take the longer route but I enjoy the risk," Ilia bowed her head slightly, "Have any others come before me?"
"A pair but they are in the cabin next door. Our chef will see to your dinner though you have missed the main selection," she smiled, "Take a good night's rest; tomorrow is where you start your challenge."
"Thank you," she nodded again to all of the people in the cabin before walking out and into the one where Evan and Lizzie were.

"Hello." Evan greeted tilting the cowboy hat he was now wearing to her. He didnt say howdy he refused to live up to that part of the cowboy sterotype the other stuff came with how he was raised and where he was raised.

Lol, my friend who's from Texas always says 'howdy'

"That isn't how you do it," Ilia smiled, "Take it as you got up here okay then? Sorry, I had a pair that was wandering into bandit territory without realising and had to get to them and pull them out... I got a blow to the arm with it too but one of them was a healer so I was sorted."
Loosening her neck, she looked about the cabin in seach for Lizzie.

Lizzy: I wandered off in awe of the place it was so cozy yet hostile at the same time. I looked around ignoring some of the srage looks that I was getting, shrugging them off.

You have to click the button that says 'Post Reply' diagonally down from the text box. There you get a ton of options to change your text etc. like the one above the box now. It's well worth a fiddle Wink

(i am from texas and have never said howdy in my life, the only people that say howdy to my knowledge are the people who go to A&M and that's because they kind have to)

"Yep no troubles." Evan said. "And that isn't how I do what?" he asked raising an eyebrow.

"Greet people when you have such an amazing accent as that and a stetson," Ilia smiled, "and good about the no troubles. It turns out that most of them got lost but I got them on track again. They're all about half-way up but I hope that because that half is simpler and flatter then they're not going to be über long."
Putting her bag onto the table, she loosened her shoulders before taking a seat.

"I will try to fix the way I greet people." he laughed, and took of his hat. "How do people get lost with maps?" he asked not really expecting an answer. Of course he was used to trails and such so maps were easy for him, but still it wasn't that hard.

Ilia shrugged; she honestly had no idea. It was on stupid and verging onto ridiculous.
"I just hope that they improve before we hit the training, otherwise this isn't going to be an easy fight. Sure, some might improve but still..." she muttered, mostly to herself, not that she minded if he replied, "How long have you been here for then?"

"I was born here but moved away when I was five then moved back just last year, despite what my mother and father wanted." Evan told him.

Ilia chuckled, "No, in the base. Sorry, I should have been clearer, especially with my topic changing."
She rested her elbows on the table, then her head upon that. She was bored to say the least; she wanted something to happen before everyone got back. The tranquil feeling of the mountains didn't do it for her.

"Hour, hour and a half maybe," he told her. He leaned back ever so slightly, he loved mountains, everything about them the air, the smell. Absolutely everything.

"Good, I wasn't too far off then," she smiled before standing up, "I'm going to get something to eat. Apparently I have to go ask the cook for something as they've already eaten. If you haven't you can join me. If not, well, the invite is still there."
Standing, he walked out of the cabin and into another with pots and pans laiden outside. It seemed like the place.

Evan followed her, his stomach rumbled. If they had to make their dinner he could cook it. He walked into the building and the smell of dinner still lingered in the air. And it smelled delicious.

Lizzy: I wandered around until reaching a sort of border and turned, where was I? Where was Evan and Ilia? Where was I? I felt my heart start to race while I panicked. "Calm down, your fine, you've gotten out of worse situations before. Just calmly walk back where you...Damn, where did we come from? Damn! Where lost! HELP!" I grabbed my bag and held it to my chest realizing I had gotten myself lost in a wood chopping area, apparent to me because of all the stumps and new trees growing. I whimpered and looked around. "Anybody?"

Ilia stopped when she heard the screams. The sphere in her pocket made it so she heard it all.
"Dinner will have to wait," she muttered, before pulling out the orb, "Lizzie, what's the matter?"
The sky was getting darker by the minute and it was was obvious that it would be nightfall soon. Someone should have gone with her...
During this, the girl ran back to the cabin, standing in front of Evan, "Listen."
She put the orb on the table so that Lizzie could continue with her explanation. Ilia's eyes seemed rigged with worry; she was only new, but then again she could turn herself into a tiger, plus she had the sphere so on some levels she was glad.

Lizzy: I clutched the sphere I had tightly and whimpered, I really hated the dark. "Please...please find me...I hate the dark...." I whimpered. The sun had already begun to paint the sky with colors, soon it would wash them off only to leave the black of the night sky. I curled tighter around the orb and hoped they could find me.

Good, it was only dark, no bandits but they did roam most of the area around here. It was going to be difficult to get through alright.

Lizzy: "In some sort of orchardy place, there are a bunch of tree stumps too.. What was that noise?" I said turning around and looking into the dark bushes. The once cozy little camp had turned terrifying in a matter of minutes, why did I watch so many horror movies?
