"Well, now isn't this an interesting development," Soloman, who was standing off to the side, commented, "Do you think I should tell the Ringleader? He might appreciate knowing that he can finally punish someone." With that, he walked away.

It was all Randi could do not to throw fire after him. Soloman was the worst of the worst, except for the Ringleader, of course.

((Despite what Randi thinks, Soloman is one of my favorite characters.))

(Really? I haven't seen him in action to be honest).

"I swear, he must be a magician or something," she muttered, "but I think I'm better off not ripping his face off, eh?"
She smirked as she looked over her shoulder to where he was standing, mostly amusing herself with his perfect face full of claw marks.
"Well," she tugged at the red collar that hung from her neck, "Looks like it's been taken out of our hands now. Sorry Tom."

"Thanks for the help, but I can do without one shark." Tommy said. "And I know it's not your fault."
He wanted to cry, at what Solomon said. It would only be a few minutes before the ringleader would come to punish him. "It's fine nothing I'm not used to." He lifted the shark with it's legs. "I'll just go dispose of him." He said. He carried the shark that was almsot three times his shark, to the top deck, to just dump him in the ocean.

"Okay."
She just sat down from her kneel, watching him walk away. Sure, it wasn't her fault, but she somehow felt it was. Also if Soloman came along that second she would claw his face in; it just seemed fitting to her.
"I still do want to try a shark though..." she continued to mutter as she rose, her tail whipping infront if her again, "and I shall chop this off."

Tommy dumped the shark overboard. And debated on going back to the practice arena, or staying where he was. He knew either way he would be punished, but he found it best to go back to the arena to wait.

By the time Tommy had returned, Ilia was mopping up all of the blood and whatnot. She whistled as she did it, trying make it a tad enjoyable. Little did people know that this was mainly for her more than Tommy and his sharks.
"Just get rid of the blood and stay calm, you can go to the lower decks if it gets worse Illy, don't exert yourself hun..." she repeated over and over again.

Soloman knocked on the door of the stately office that belonged to the Ringleader. "Who is it?" a deep voice laden with annoyance asked.

Soloman smiled. If the Ringleader was already in a bad mood, this would be even more fun. "It's Soloman," he answered, "I have some rather interesting news."

Soloman chuckled as he left the Ringleader's office. Yes, this would be fun indeed. The Ringleader was positively fuming with rage.

Soloman walked down to wear Ilia and Tommy were. He cast a glance at Ilia, "Having fun, are we?" Then he turned his attention to Tommy, "The Ringleader expects you to be in his office directly after dinner, no later than seven o' clock. If you are late, expect your punishment to be increased three-fold." Ah, what pleasure those words held as they rolled off his tongue.

You may be wondering why exactly Soloman loved it when the performers were punished. Well, Soloman's greatest joy was in invading someone's mind. That was how he doled out most punishments. But, when the Ringleader punished Tommy, it was even more fun to delve inside the boy's mind.

Fun? I'm cleaning up shark blood! You expect me to be happy?! Barstool!
Ilia buttoned her lip but continued to watch Soloman, trying to figure out what his game was. Why was he here exactly? She didn't know, maybe he just loved being the prison snitch and dishing out pain. Why? She hadn't a clue, that was as far as she had got up to.
Fiddling with her collar, she stopped mopping and just watched, leaning on the wooden handle.

Tommy nodded. As all the water he had built up just drained. He was white like a ghost, and now dryer than a desert. "Yeah." was all he said.

Soloman frowned slightly. That was a boring response. Oh well, his job was done for the moment.

Soloman turned and walked away yet again. As he passed Ilia he said, "Yes, I expect you to be exceedingly happy whilst mopping up shark hemoglobin."

"Don't talk to her like that." Tommy said jumping up. "You can be rude to me all you want, but you don't have the right to talk to anyone else like that." Anger spilled out of him. He had just about had it with Solomon. He could drown him without getting him wet, and man he wanted to. Just fill up his lungs with water, and he would be dead.
The veins on Tommy's neck became evident., along with the veins on his arms.

Yeah, and that shirt suits you(!) I think that I'll just stay quiet though, mainly because you may force me to wear it as punishment! Ooo, Ilia, you've gone sarcastic! Unbe-f-ing-lievable!
She picked up the mop again and continued with the mopping, muttering to herself about 'the use of complicated language that someone with a lack of a half-decent education would get.
Then she heard Tommy.
"What? Tommy, just leave it, it doesn't matter..." she dropped the mop in a muddle, "Just calm down, please."
She practically ran over to him, holding down his arms. Yes, she was scared but he needed a bit of cooling down right now and not the water-based type.

"I'm afraid I can't do that, son," Soloman answered, with what sounded like real sorrow in his voice, "I'd do my worst, but I think the Ringleader wants at least a little bit of you left over for his punishment."

"And what are you going to get? Nothing. Tommy, just quit while you're ahead. Please..." she was practically begging now.
A small tear came to her eye as she tried to knock some sense into him just by trying to get him to listen.
"Tommy, please, it isn't worth it. I'll drop everything, including the below decks thing if you just shut up."
To be honest she had kinda dropped it already, just that she thought it might get in handy later. Now was later.

"Thanks Tommy," she muttered, taking out a tissue to wipe the tear away, "You're an amazing pal. Nope, you just have to be all high and mighty and what happens to me? I get dragged into this. It could have just been left like that, but nope, I had to get dragged in."
She picked up the bucket that the mop water was in and all held it out to Soloman, a apologtic look on her face.
"Sorry Sir, here you go for the water."

Soloman merely swallowed the saltwater, most likely just out of spite, even though it was bound and determined to disagree with him sooner or later. He looked at Ilia. "Why are you friends with Thomas?" he asked simply, refusing to call Tommy "Tommy" as it seemed like to friendly of a nickname.

Hardnut.
Ilia put the bucket on the floor whilst trying to think, attempting to buy her some time to make sure that she didn't shoot herself in the foot.
"I dunno... I guess it's because all of us are quite close, at least I am. We all look out for eachother and if we didn't then this business wouldn't stay a-float."
She stopped after she said the pun, rather regretting it now. Soloman didn't seem like a man that would like a set of cleverly-placed phrases, but then again she liked to try.
"If I were to answer honestly, I would say that, Sir."

Soloman nodded, "I see. He's not the most stable person to attach yourself to, though. I do hope your realize that, or you could be headed for a world of trouble." Then he left. Not for any enigmatic purposes. It was just that his cat, a fussy Bengal cat named Cain, hadn't been fed yet. If Soloman didn't want his cabin to be torn apart by a furious feline, he had to get that cat some fish, fast.

The door opened, and Tommy stepped in. No explanation was given, but the flame appeared, and soon the Ringmaster began. Tommy's screams echoed through the ship. But no one dared enter when he was being punished.
