Okay here's Aiden:

Aiden: I clear my throat and then take a deep breath before knocking on the door, my guitar gripped tightly in my hand. I had no idea why I was so tense, playing guitar came to me easily and usually it wasn't such a big deal - hence the fact that I chose to play it today and not say, my precious cello or something - but maybe it was because that's sort of the feeling that was just around this whole place. I gulp, my forehead creasing.

"It's open," Will's dull voice droned to the front.
Waving his hands, one of the two 'helpers' rushed over and opened the door, taking the guitar and setting it up.
"Excuse them, they're new to being useful..." a mutter escaped his lips as he waved to the space out infront of him, "Aiden, right? What's the surname again?"
He flicked through a pile of folders, each one belonging to a student, each with different things scribbled to the front of them though all in code.
Chewing the end of his pencil, it swung from his mouth like a pemdulam over and over, rather distacted to the simple minded Helpers.

Aiden: I think quick up a fake last name. "Mercier." I recite smoothly. "It's from my mother's side, probably not recorded." I say, almost lazily.

Will stopped, letting out a minor sigh as his eyes trailed to his face.
"Well what will it be on record then?" his hands flicked through until he found it, "Harris. That could have been quicker."
Shaking his head, he flicked open a file; all about him, every scrap of information that they could find: school reports, dental records, clubs, parental information, where they've lived, they even had some people's favourite colours; from MySpace mostly but still.
"Your audition was pretty good... Electric violin? You did it hip hop," despite it being a question, he stated it, "But now you've got a guitar? May I ask why?"
He left the file on his lap, a huge picture of the boy on the front. Most were gained again from social networking sights; no copy and paste ban though some did come out better than others.

Aiden: I shrug listlessly, taking my guitar back from the two 'helpers' and slipping the strap over my head and looking back to the head of this whole thing. "I feel too restricted on my violin sometimes." I say simply, telling the truth for once. "And I'm performing Knights of Cydonia for you," I add hastily. I blow out a breath, convincing myself that this was going to go good. Great, even. Then I start out on the first chords, letting the sound vibrate through me. The next part is what I always worry about. Plucking this fast for me is a stress that always worries me. But I make it through and I allow a half smile to show through. I slide my fingers down the neck and get just the right sound. Then I slow down to the part where I just let a few easy chords ring out. I move through the harder part for me and easily turn on my boss pedal to get this cool resonance sound that I just figure out a few weeks ago. Then I slip into the solo part, playing confidently until the last tone dies out. And it's not until then that I realize my wrist is way sore and my fingers of my left playing hand are sort of numb.

"Okay, now play that over and over again as many times as you can."
Will smiled as he spoke those words; pure torture for any kid or adult that did that.
"The longest we had today was two hours, eleven minutes and thirty eight seconds on guitar. Stop when you wish though that'll be the score that is written on your file but as I like you, you may switch to an easier song...actually the top song was by a girl that did DragonForce so good luck to whatever you decide," a smug smile rose to his lips as he waved for the boy to begin.
He half wanted the boy to continue with the Muse song though songs like Time is Running Out and Starlight is often over done in the audition process but none dare to go for the heavy guns of Assasin or Knights of Cydonia.

oh, okay

Aiden: I blink. Um, okay... I nod and turn a few knobs on my guitar for volume purposes. Then I start up on Stockholm Syndrome. Right off the bat, it was easier for me to remember how to play than Hysteria at the moment, but I carefully mold the last chords into Hysteria and improvise the parts I can only vaguely remember. While I struggle to come up with anymore songs after those two, I slow down to an easy rendition of the Beatle's song Revolution, using my tremolo every now and then. I continue on this trail for what seems like forever, then finally I have to stop. I flex my fingers, wincing as they scream in protest. I rub my wrist and look to the director again, not sure what his reaction was to be. I couldn't say I was exhausted, but I also can't say that I was bursting with excitement by this point either.

"So... That was okay," he nodded, scribbling down a number or two, "Take a seat."
As he spoke, the two Helpers appeared, one carrying a chair, another taking the guitar off of him in complete silence, their mouths slapped shut.
Will threw his file onto another pile, the red mark of his scrawl clearly marking a number '4' on the front.
"Now, tell me about you: Have you got any family in the music business?" he took his pencil out of mouth, a notepad on his lap now as he scrawl down his name.

Aiden: I make a face, thinking about it. "I guess. My dad's a jazz pianist. But I haven't seen him in years. Left when I was little." I shrug it off, looking down at my hands thoughtfully. "My mom doesn't play an instrument. She hates music. Or at least she says she hates music."

"Right..." he nodded, making a few lines on the paper, "What instruments do you play and how long have you been playing them for?"
The door creaked open slightly as a boy tiptoed in, blisters on the palms of his hands signaling that he was a drummer. Though he thought that he was unnoticed, everyone turned their eyes to him, tutting.
"Drake! Get out!" Will's voice stern as he pointed to the door, his eyes giving a killer look.
"Just getting my bag!" he announced, grabbing it and running out, shouting sorry all the way through.
"If he wasn't a good drummer then I would have thrown him out by now..."

Aiden: I almost roll my eyes. He sounded just like my father. I mean, really. I'd been old enough to remember all of how my dad used to act - not to say that he doesn't act the same. He probably does. I shake my head, clearing it. "Right, um, violin obviously. Been playing for only like, four or five years, on and off. Guitar since I was nine, so about ten years. A little bass guitar - two or three years," I scratch the back of my head with one hand, my fingers drumming on my knee as I think. "Yep." I nod, half smiling lightly.

Nodding, Will continued to scribble, "And finally, do you sing at all? Even just in the shower or anything. This could make all the difference..."
He knew some kids didn't like to say that they could sing despite the fact that they could, whether the school knew that or not.
A smile on his face, he checked his blinged watch, whistling as he saw the time; it was getting increasinly late to be honest. Aiden would have to be the last one tonight.

Aiden: I squirm. I had never really tried singing before. "Uh, well, I don't really know. I'm sure I'm not too horrible. I guess I don't sing that much really..." I trail off. No one had ever asked me that. I just didn't sing. If I had to, I'm sure I could try.

He looked at her, still trying to say he had it better. Some people would just never understand. He sighed, and reluctantly decided to agree with her, to make her happy. "You're right, I'm used to freedom. I should be lucky." He turned around again, "I'm used to not playing."
He felt as if she wanted him to feel bad for her to bad that wouldn't work.

She sighed, deciding to give up. She didn't want him to feel bad for her. She hated sympathy. Screw it, I gotta go meet Aaron anyways... she thought, turning on her heelsa nd walking off.

Will nodded, writing it down as he sighed.
"You can go."
Waving his hand, one of the Helpers opened the door whilst the other waited to take his chair patiently.

Rose marched down the hall, her heavy, thick soled converse stomping on the ground. "Bloody cry baby. I was just trying to make him feel better." she growled.

Aiden: "Okay then," I pick up my guitar on the way out, thanking the silent helpers before leaving and closing the door behind me. I look back down at my hand as the numbness starts to subside. The dip in between my thumb and index finger is a horrible red color. I touch the raw skin and wince. Probably from all the shifting. I'll have to wrap it up when I get back to my room. Speaking of which. I start to busy myself with searching my pockets for that sheet of paper that says where my room is, totally neglecting looking ahead.

Rose looked at the ground and scowled deeply. She wasn't expecting to run into someone. "Ouch!" she yelped, getting knocked to the ground.

Aiden: I jump back, my eyes wide. Then I quickly bend down to snatch up my dropped guitar. "Hey, I'm really sorry about that." I apologize quickly to the girl, half smiling sheepishly.
