Ly: I sat cross legged on the bank of a shallow river. I breathed in deeply. The sounds of nature surrounded me. I needed to remain calm, focused. I had to calm my soul and be one with myself, to except every part of myself.

Walking lightly like normal, Ev went to the nearby river. He leapt silently across it, only to come across a girl meditating. He didn't want to interupt her, he knew she would sense him, if she was concentrating hard enough.

Ly: I quivered slight. Serenity. I must achieve serenity. "Oh, for the love--" I muttered, throwing out my arms, I banished the meditative air around me. I looked up at the man who stood behind me. My hair fell across my face. "It's hard to achieve serenity when someone's breathing down your neck," I said.

Ly: I stood up. "Wait," I commanded. "Are you from around these parts?" I asked, gesturing to the woods around us. I had no idea where I was. I needed a guide.

Ev stayed where he was, "You can say that." He hopped back over the river. "Where do you need to go?"

Ly: I ran my fingers through my hair which trailed down to my waist. "To the northern coast." There would be no way for me to go home, but I could at least look upon my homeland one last time.

"The Norther Coast it is." Ev started heading in a direction. He knew the Northern Coast well, he was trained on and island just off of it.

Ly: I debated whether to lie or not, but I decided against it. "Ly," I told him. I didn't usually tell people my name, but he was a country boy. How could he know that the 'dead' princess of Paelaya was named Ly?

Ev knew she was bluffing, they followed the river then veered off into the woods. He decided to open up a bit, she had mentioned family. "I haven't seen my family since I was really little. I began training when I was three." He said.

"Martial arts." Ev said, "I am considered a master in Karate and Tai Kwan Do, I have my sixth degree black belt in Judo and Kung Fu." He said the latter part quietly he hated going into detail, but why not he didn't know this girl he would probably never see her again.

Ly: I raised my eyebrows and stepped lightly around rock. "Really? A master." I laughed softly. I wondered how we would compare. I had been trained on Paelaya and Zay...and I had been trained here in the Middle Kingdom.
