My mother's head snapped to Will and her hand tightened on the shotgun. I instantly moved in front of Will, eyes wide, arms spread out. "If you plan on killing him because of something I did, then you better kill me first. Do something my brothers all failed at doing." Her eyes widened, she noticed how I wasn't afraid anymore.

Will: I stand up. strait this time. i wasnt as short as most people thought and i had muscle i didn't know i had. surviving alone meant you had to me strong. and being a weightlifter in the past helped.

"S-Shalena.." She whispered then shrieked as a large bang hit the door. She aimed it at the door, shaking. I took out my tactical knife and walked over. I opened the door a crack to see a figure in the distance. Alcide? I fully opened the door.

I step out when I see Alcide but the shocked scared look on his face made me panic. I heard a laugh and recognized it. "Shaylee, close the door now!" Alcide screamed and I did but a hand tried to hold it open. I grunted, whimpering as I continued to try to close the door. No No No No NO!

"T-That's n-not why." I closed my eyes tightly when the door open. I heard my mom gasp then strong arms were around me. I looked up wide eyed and gasped. "Alcide!" I cried and hugged him tightly sobbing. "They knew you were there. They knew." He whispered and I sobbed.
