Alaric : Tolerate it and keep going...i tell myself. "Alaric," I respond in an even voice despite inwardly cringing when the boy uses the word 'hun'. It was as bad as babe, baby, sugar or any other stupid name teenagers used to refer to one another.

Sol: I look to Dylan for help, but she's talking. "So," I pull one of Dylan's pens out of her bag, letting it float into my hand gentle. "What are reading?" I twiddle the pen through my fingers.

"Nice to meet ya Dylan." I say, then roll my eyes as the guy studders a comeback. "What, your mom teach you how to speak or something?" His friends snicker.

Sol: I sigh, running my hand through my hair. "Well if you ever feel a bit more friendly, or are interested in a party this weekend, hit me up, kay?" I grab one of his hands quickly, scribbling my number down with a wink.

Dylan: I look at the guys trying to talk to her. "Don't worry 'bout them, they're meat heads." I knock on my skull for effect.

Alaric : I feel an unwanted blush crawl onto my cheeks so i turn my head down quickly. I'm scowling deeply. No one in my entire life had ever done something like that before. Just suddenly reaching out to touch my hand like that.
It made me sick inside. I didn't say anything to the boy and when the bell rung for the next class i was the first one out the door.

Kody: My hands tighten on my pen when this guy -- really rude, obnoxious, you know that type? -- asks if he can borrow my pen. I ignore him until he starts making jibes at me about my mom being a surgeon. My knuckles are white by now. I straighten up slowly, holding the pen more like a dart than anything else. "You want the pen? Here," I throw it with precision for his chest. The ink is seeping into his shirt as he stands up, profanities streaming from my mouth. I look up at the teacher who's giving me the look. the, you have detention, look.
I get up with my bag -- zipper closed and everything -- and head out of the room. My first day back and i have detention after school.
great. just great.

"Shut up! Did i tell you to talk?" I snap, i instantly go silent when i feel the stare of others on my back. I shake my head and stalk down the hall into the next building where i would have P.E.

Alaric : All i can think about is Jonathan. When i pull off my jeans to put on the gym shorts my face feels hot.
Jonathan always had a habit of looking at me when i changed back at my old school. It would drive me insane. It would make me angry and sick and happy all at the same time.
It just meant there was something wrong with me...but...Jonathan use to say it was just that i loved him because he loved me....
I look at my locker sadly. He was the only person that i know i have ever loved truly. He was the one who made me think i was gay...but he is dead now...I lock the locker curtly and leave the room.

Alaric : Like the last class this one went by with the same amount of speed. Coaches gave up on trying to make the students play sports. I wasn't exactly happy about that. I like playing baseball...oh well. The class ends and once again i change and am escorted to the next class.

I looked at the teacher after he asked, "Who taught you." I sighed, "My mother did." I looked down at the ground. "You seem upset, why?" I shake my head and just ask, "Can I sit down now?" He nods and I run to my seat.

Alaric : I glance up to see the girl sit back down. I'm glad she stopped singing. It wasn't because she was bad or something like that. The song was just so childish. Only a preteen or a slut trying to change her image would sing such an horrid thing in public.
