Ian: I shake my head, "Yeah, I'm sure. Do you need me to carry you inside?" I ask like she's a little kid who scraped their knee. I grin, but can tell she really isn't feeling well.

Ember: "If i can stand up i can get in." i tell him, fighting back tears of pain that wanted to come.

Ian: I watch her carefully as she keeps flinching as she stands up. I sigh, "You really are too stubborn for your own good." I offer her my shoulder to her so i can take on a little bit of her weight.

Ember: i lean against him. "my stubborness has kept me alive."

Jason: i watch the two of them. i didnt know if i could trust the guy with ember. i dont want to see her get hurt.

Ian: I shrug, apologizing quickly when she gasps in pain and glares over at me. "Well I'm glad you're alive." I say matter-of-factly.

ember: "that makes two of us." i sighed as we walked inside. jason comes out of the shadows and follows us in. he goes to the freezer and grabs me an ice pack.

Ian: I let go of her and let her situate herself on the couch as Jason walks back in. "So, what's really the problem?" i ask with a raised eyebrow.

Ember: "What do you mean?" i asked, taking the ice pack from jason. jason met my eyes. Ian wanted to know about what happened between me and my dad.

Ian: I lean against the wall and take in a deep breath. "Look, you don't have to tell me now if you don't want me to...but I'd like to now someday, okay?" I clarify. Obviously she didn't want to talk about it. i understood that. I glance over at he from looking out the window. "Your ribs?" I ask, seeing her clutching at her stomach.

Ember: i nodded. we were alone in the room right now. "Im not the only one in my family with powers. my dad has them to. telekenetics and teleportation. My mom was normal. and when i was younger, something happned, and my powers went crazy. my mom died that day, and my dad blamed me. he hated me, hated that i looked like my mom, that i caused my moms death. so he made my life a living hell." i rolled up the sleves of my shirt. "If i did anything that pissed him off, he would hurt me. usually throw me around, or cut me." tears fell from my eyes. "thats why i dont want to go home. why i cant go home."

Ian: I stare at her, contemplating whether i should go over and comfort her. So i do. I walk over calmly and sit next to her, wrapping my arms around her now shaking form. "Hey, it's ok. I...I get that you're scared to go home and you don't want to. I guess you could say we're more alike then you'd think."
I'm not exactly thrilled about going home. Maybe that's why my mind transported me here. to get out of the house.

Ember: i cried into Ian's shoulder. i never told anyone about what happened to me exept for Jason. i pressed the icepact to my rib cage. "Emmi, you need to get some sleep." i hear jason say.

Ian: I nod slowly, glancing up at Jason. He looked like he wanted to say something, and i was guessing he probalby wasn't saying it 'cause of me. SO i started to get up, "Yeah, I'm going to go get my violin and head off to find a room for the night." I offer her a gentle half smile before getting off the couch and walking for the front door.

Ember: i looked at jason. he stared back. "Are you sure you can trust this guy, Emmi?" he asked from where he stood. i nodded. "you've known him what, all of one day?"
"Thats all i needed to trust you." i tell him, meeting his gaze. he nodded.
"Just...never mind." he ran his hand through his hair. "I dont want to see you get hurt." i nodded. jason was turning into his protective self again.
"im going to go to my room, unless you have something else to say." i said, managing to stand up. he shook his head and i wandered into my room, closing the door behind me. i sat on my bed, and wiped away the remainder of tears on my cheeks.

Ian: when i got outside, i grabbed up my violin and looked back at the house. There was a part of me saying i should leave, but the other part was saying stay with Ember. I blinked. that was new. I told her i'd protect her no matter what. I gripped my violin case's handle tightly before heading back inside. I wasn't leaving. not just yet.

Ian: I scratched the back of my head, "Ah sure; why not?" i said, looking at him. I sure hope it isn't one of those awkward conversations. hate those.

Ian: Just what i needed before sleeping. Didn't i just say i hated awkward conversations? I think i did. I let out a deep breath. "Ok, see, this is what i was trying to avoid talking about with you; but if you have to know, yes. I do." i say simply. I surprised myself with saying that, but it was true. i really did.

Jason: i nodded. "Thats all i really wanted to know." i smiled at him. "You're lucky man, she doesnt usually trust guys."

Ian: I nod solemnly, "Really..." i trail off, yawning. I wave him as i head off down some hallway; hoping for a bed to sleep on. "I guess i'll see ya later Jason."

Jason: "later." i shrugged. i walked back outside, and jumped into a thick tree and perched on one of the braches, letting my eyes drift closed.

Ian: when i got into an empty bedroom, i took out my violin again, playing a few sad minor chords. then i went straight into my own version of Schindler's List. [sad song and a good movie. or so i've heard.. Razz

Ember: i heard Ian playing in the room next to me. you would think that falling asleep to the sound of a violin would bring good dreams. well you would think wrong.
im my dream i was back at my house. my dad was mad at me for doing who knows what, and pulled out a kitchen knife. i tried running, but he was to fast for me. he slashed at me, cutting my cheek. then again, at my shoulder. the pain felt real, like i was actually there. i toss and turned in my sleep, and finally woke, springing forward. "ow." i muttered loudly, probably loud enough for ian to hear. my ribs hurt again, and i felt tears fall from my eyes.

Ian: I jump when i hear thud come from just on the other side of the wall i was leaning against. my bow slides off the string and i get up quietly to go check it out. I knock softly on the door.

Ember: "Yeah?" i call to the door, wiping away the tears that fell. or tried to, more kept coming. the dream felt so real. "Its open." i tell them.
