Stealing Couldn't be Funner Empty Re: Stealing Couldn't be Funner

Tanner: Jessica and Lelaine sat on either side of me, flirting outrageously. I ignored them. I actually felt a little sorry for them. They didn't seem to notice that I was paying them no mind what so ever. They just sat there, yapping away, trying to hook me with their girlish wiles.
I stared off into the distance. The bustling common room held most of the regulars. Quill was out. I hadn't seen TJ in days, but that wasn't a surprise.
My thoughts wandered off, towards what had happened last night. Even hobbling around, Lorenna gave off an aura of someone who could steal you blind and smile the whole time. I hated her smile.
My hands curled into fists as I thought about her. Jessica wrapped her petite fingers around them, trying to sooth me with cooing.

Tj: Once I get back to the mansion, I immediately run into Linna. She has the weird little thing where she thinks she has to work for me...I don't even pay her. I try getting past her, assuring I was fine and was going to check in with Tanner for an excuse. But she doesn't give up until I'm literally two feet from the man and I allow her to bring my crossbows up to my room. I thank her curtly, giving her a look that clearly meant, "Go. Away." I think she got it because she scuttled away and up to my room.

Tanner: Speaking of TJ, she had just appeared in front of me. I tapped Jessica and Lelaine on their hands. They got up and left, swaying deliberately to show me what I was missing. "I was just thinking about you," I said with smirk. Truth was, I had just been listening to her after I had yanked my thoughts away from Lorenna.

Tj: I slowly turn to Tanner, meeting his gaze. "I'm sure you were Tanner. Sorry I've been gone. Anything I've missed or need to get done?" I ask, going through my usual script. I usually did the small things that Tanner was too lazy to do. Which was a lot, most of the time.

and by 'a lot', you mean 'everything' XD

Tanner: I smirked as I thought about it. Oh, she had missed quite a bit. My face darkened. I was not bringing up Lorenna. "No," I said curtly. "Where have you been?"

(lol, yeah Very Happy)

Tj: I shift my weight to my other foot, hoping he doesn't notice. I always have to move a little when I lie. Bad habit. "Just finishing up some things. Stopped in the market..." I shrug, taking a few steps forward and to the side to plop down in one of the chairs to his left. "Nothing much."

Stealing Couldn't be Funner Empty Re: Stealing Couldn't be Funner

Post by OpenTheDoor Thu Sep 16, 2010 7:07 pm

The noise from the mansion was great, the sound of stupidity and laughter, mainly coming from the girls that want to sleep with him. Shaking her head, she looked forward as a cloaked boy ran up behind her, grabbing the smallish box from her bag.
"Hey!" she called, the cloak rivering up the side alley, her greatest posseions other than her dignity in there. Cursing in the way, she clicked her neck and bulleted after him; she soon caught up.
His eyes looked back at her, dark and ringed, obviously on some sort of drug or drunk; something half of the people here turn to.
"Stay back!" his voice never shook, he was sane, well, not to steal from Freedom.
"Easy way or the hard way, you're choice," she fingered her dagger strapped to the side, that thing meant a lot to her.
"I said stay back!" he took out a blunt blade of his own, running over and trying to make a slash at the girl. With a shake of her head, she dodged and pushed him unto the wall of Tanner's mansion, the blade to his neck.
"Leave now and I won't slit you're throat!" she hissed, her mouth right next to the guy's ear. She was kn control.
With a stammer and an attempt of escape, he dug the blade into Freedom's leg, instantly sending iver over.

It was over in an instant. The poor thief, his hood covering the pool of blood on the floor as she stood over him. Drawing a breath, she wiped the blood on his cloak before walking away, the box back in her bag.

Tanner: I raised my eyebrows. Her constant fidgeting was annoying me. "Is that all?" I prodded. I didn't trust a soul in this room not to lie to me even though most of them were scared shitless of me.

Tj: I tilt my head back, closing my eyes and yawning, buying time. "Ran into your buddy, Jacko, at the market," I smirk a little, knowing it'll get on Tanner's nerves. I open an eye and glance over at him.

Tanner: My jaw tightened ever so slightly. "Really? He was just here." I attempted to sound nonchalant, but I had to admit, I sounded like I wanted to strangle someone. Preferably Jacko. That bastard had taken her from me.
My hands hurt from being pressed into fists.

Freedom bit her lip, sneaking infront of the building, the window for the common room aka the one where Tanner was in. Walking carefully, she ducked under the large windows, avoiding obvious sight.
"Fwee!" a little voice screamed as a little chubby girl ran over, pulling at her hair.
"What are you doing down there Freedom?" Ms Gregory was standing there, "You're not spying are you?"
Freedom bit her lip and sighed, picking up the little girl, Mary, and sighing, "I was looking for something that was lost but I've just got it back thanks," she nodded and looked into the room, TJ's eyes on her. Shit.

Tj: I slowly sit up, reaching over and patting his cheek with a mock sweet smile. "Don't forget to breathe." I half smile lazily at him before slouching back in my chair, one leg draped over an arm of the chair, close enough to kick Tanner if necessary. I notice Freedom. I don't let a thread of emotion show, meeting her gaze coolly before looking away again.

Tanner: There were about....no people in the city who could get away with that. I let out a deep breath. TJ would pay in time; they always did. And I always had the pleasure of watching.
"Did you speak with Jacko when you saw him?" I asked.

Tj: "Sort of. I just got to hear how much he loathes you," I exaggerate, staring with frustration and anger down at my hands. Why the hell would Freedom be around here?

Tanner: "That's to be expect," I said with a slight shrug. Jacko and I went way back. I had met Lorenna when she was seven, twelve years ago, but I had known Jacko for a lot longer. We had always been rivals. Lorenna, being the innocent naive little girl that she still was, hadn't even known who Jacko was. Jacko had charmed her over to his side. That bastard.

Freedom nodded hdr thanks, not knowing, or particularly caring, whether TJ saw it or not. Putting the little girl down, she began whinging and complaining, her mother had disappeared? Right. With a sigh, she took her hand as she tried to pronouce the 'r' in her name.
Freedom, or Fwee as she was known to Mary, was glad that Tanner hadn't heard them as she burst into the song, the little girl not the thief that is. With a deep breath and a sigh, she looked at her hands, still slightly stained with blood. Innocent blood. A wave of cold passed over her as Mary complained.
Sure, it wasn't the first time she's killed somebody but she rather that she didn't, nevertheless someone just like her...
