"How do you come to know a witch?" Jazlyn asked. She had a sneaking suspision that Dementia didn't just know a witch, but was one.

Analyn took off when she saw the three men arrive at the door. She had heard the rumors, and now she knew. She was one of the accused. Her skirts slowed her down, but still she was able to reach the forest. How? How had she become a witch to the people's eyes? The shadows were long, and she feared what would happen once the sun set. It was already low over the horizon. Voices trailed through the summer air, and Analyn shuddered. She had to be imagining things...

Kiarra slowly sipped the water from the stream. It was cool and soft, sliding luxuriantly down her throat. It had been three days, and now, she was an official witch. She had passed the test, knew the spells. She was a witch. Finally. The townspeople would think she was dead, but that was good. Now she never would have to return...

She squealed when she heard the voices a few feet behind her. Analyn tried to run, but a cold hand had grabbed her wrist.

Culcifer hissed a little and batted a paw towards a stand of trees. "What's the matter?" Jazlyn asked, "Is someone there?" The sun was setting and it seemed unlikely that someone would be out at this hour. Unless they had been chased out of their home, as well...

Kiarra grabbed at the screamer. "Be quiet. Got it?" The girl nodded. "Now what are you doing, and who are you?" Kiarra searched for her teacher, Eller Hek. She was somewhere nearby, to the south.
the girl shook in Kiarra's grasp. "I-I'm An-Analyn Morgan. I was a-a-acused, but I'm NOT A WITCH!"

"You are a witch." It was not a question. "Well then, I am too." Kiarra stated. She jerked Analyn. "This is an accused. Her name is Analyn Morgan, daughter to one of the richer families. Your name?" Kiarra tied a spell around the girl, Analyn, and let go. She would not be able to move her feet.

Eller walked out of her door. Many of her students were near, there was also a mortal, and a witch who didn't know she was a witch. What an odd group.

Culcifer jumped out of Jazlyn's arms and ran away. "Culcifer! Come back!" Jazlyn ran after him.

"Hello, Dementia" Kiarra said. "This is a mortal. Analyn. She has, apparently, been accused." Analyn moaned, and Kiarra wove another spell.

Culcifer darted around trees, with Jazlyn following, until they came to a clearing witha house and a young woman standing in front of it.

"Fine. But she still has nowhere else to go." Kiarra loosened the weave, and Analyn shrieked. "HELP! HELP!" Kiarra tightened the thread again, but released the girl's feet. Analyn didn't notice. "And she has still decided that the townspeople will help her. Not very smart, is she?"

"I'm not. I'm just keeping her from screaming." Analyn heard the witch and started to slip away.
"You sure you want to do that?" It was the witch. Analyn paused.

Kiarra spoke again " The townspeople aren't going to help you. To them, you're a witch." The girl turned around. Apparently, she had decided to stay for another moment.
