Nell: I was late and I didn't have a present for Xero. I raced to the party and showed up on time to see Xero slit her finger. Klutz. Gray looked ready to pounce. I actually had very good timing. I walked slowly to Gray's side. "What did I miss?" I asked, hoping my casual question would steer his mind away from thoughts of drinking Xero dry.

Gray : i bite into my lip, hard enough to make my lip bleed. The pain is not as bad as the thirst but i try hard to push it down and speak so that i can distract myself. "Damn, that's what i was going to get you." I say.
Xero turns and smiles at me then bows again at anala. "thank you, its beautiful. But don't you think you should keep it? Since it belonged to your family."

Anala: I shrug. "Not really. I mean, it was the human side of my family. We weren't very close, if you know what i mean." I make a face, glancing over at Nell. "Oh, hello Nell."

Xero : "eh." Oh, i turn and see nell and bow a little again. "Hello, Nell" i say, my finger still in my mouth.

Nell: I inclined my head politely to Anala and Xero. Gray felt like a stone statue next to me. I glanced up at his face. He was biting his lip. I glanced at Xero. I didn't want to ruin her party by dragging Gray away, but I also didn't want to ruin her party by letting Gray suck her blood.
I put a gentle hand on Gray's elbow. If he tried anything that gentle hand would turn into a vice-like grip and smack him over the head with my rod.

what dumb thing? running laps--not that i think that's dumb it just might make you get a fever--or something else?

Gray : I swallowed the last bit of hunger down and exhaled. I stepped up and took Xero's hand. Her eyes widened and she tried to stop me but i just shook my head. "Stupid klutzy little girl," i said. Rubbing the slit where she had cut herself. I reached into my other pocket and grabbed a bandaid. I ripped it open with my teeth, careful to hide the fangs, and then placed it over the cut. "Anabelle be more careful, promise?" i smiled a little. She nodded, and slowly a smile appeared on her face too. "Okay."

nope, the other seniors and i ran into the field and it was raining really hard. I stood out there longer because dimi asked me to dance there .>.< he never does that so i took advantage of it.

Anala: "Hate to break up this happy little moment, but i'm going to go find my sister." I wave to them with a gentle half smile and saunter away. but my smile is gone the moment i see Chance hanging all over my sister. I'm not jealous. i just have the urge to break his neck. why? Because he acts like what he does to her -- and me -- is funny. amusing. the sick bastard. if you were me, you'd want to rip his throat out too.

Nell: I quietly slid my rod out of its sheath and tipped forward on the balls of my feet. It wasn't that I didn't trust Gray--well, actually it was just that. I didn't trust him. I wished I could, but if I wanted to keep Xero and the other humans safe, I couldn't

Gray : i blinked and turned to see Artemis out in Nell's hand. "If you accidentally poke a vamp with that you know you can give them a fever for a month right? I think you should put it away." out of the corner of my eye i could see Xero shocked that she would even bring it with her. poor kid...this was some birthday..

Anala: "Chance. Get out of here." I snarl at him. He looks up with his much too innocent green eyes and puckers his lip out at me. like a little ugly puppy.
"He can go when he wants, mom," Sash mutters sarcastically. I merely glare at her.
"You know he's just playing you."
"No he's not!"
"He, is right here."
We both glare at him. He just sighs, taking Sash's hand and looking back to her like i'm not here at all.
"Just...think about it, ok?" he pleads her quietly before dropping her hand and sulking away. i just shake my head.
"He is such a Cullen,"
Sash glares at me.
"They don't exist you know."
"But Chance is around to prove it."
"He doesn't sparkle!"
"Ha! Whatever. Just stay away from him, ok?" I don't like him and i don't want my sis to have anything to do with him either.
"You can't make me do what you say." She snarls coldly, stalking away from me. i just stare after her.

Nell: "If I poke somebody, it won't be an accident," I said, but I put Artemis away. "How is your party so far, Xero?" I asked.

Gray : i didn't look at her when she answered. I knew she would fake smile and lie. "Great. I'm happy with it."
Mhm. sure.
I rubbed my forehead for a minute and then decided it was time to go drink. I lean over to whisper in Xero's ear and she nodded. "I'll see you two later" I said and saunter out of the room.

Nell: I watched Gray good. He still didn't look very good. I hoped he was stable enough not to attack to the first human he comes across, or vampire for that matter. "I don't have a present for you," I said, apologetically as I looked back at her.

Gray : i scowled at the sunlight and put my hand over eyes a bit to make it less painful. I would probably go sleep for a long while until tomorrow came. I didn't feel like going to class and i was too thirsty to do anything else... maybe it was the idea i had settled on. Nothing too big and nothing to horrid. Just that...since Xero was Isabelle...it just meant i didn't deserved to be loved. I was perfectly fine with that now but it would be the future...in which xero would be someone elses bride...that i feared.

Xero : "That's okay, i don't really like getting gifts anyway." i said smiling a bit. I took a seat on the table and rubbed my eye. "How are you today nell?"

Nell: I sat across from her. "Fine, thank you," I said as I stared at her. "You need to be more careful around Gray." I didn't mean to lecture, but if she was pushing him to the limits of his self-control just by being near him. He used to be closed off, but now he was completely impentrable. If she wasn't careful and if I wasn't around, Gray could kill her. She would never kill Gray, but I knew that I could.
The thought sent a cold chill through my body, but I knew it was true. I had done it before. There was my memory again feeding me useless and painful tidbits of my past years.

Xero : i could honestly admit that she caught me off guard. "I-i know...i didn't plan to get hurt... i'm just..dumb." I looked down at the table. I had to work harder now, because Gray was my brother...and i had to be a better s-sister...

Nell: I stared at Xero. I wondered what it would be like to find out you had a brother. I didn't know if I would laugh or cry, but I would never need to know because that would never happen to me. "Just be more careful. We don't want something regrettable to happen," I said. This was her birthday. I didn't have a present for her. Instead I was talking about her and Gray's death. Hers by his hand and his by mine if it came to that.
"I am sorry," I forced out. I had never apologized to anyone in my life, but Xero deserved an apology from me.

Xero : I titled my head to the side. "You have nothing to apologize for. You haven't done anything wrong." Nell would always be a mystery to me. She wasn't like Karen or Julie or any other girl in the school i knew. She was different and closed up. kind alike gray.

Nell: I didn't need to give an explanation for my actions. I tapped my fingers on the table. "Was there any cake?" I asked in a lame effort to lighten the mood and change the subject.
