"Come in" I sighed, taking out some paper, I had a lot of filling work to organise, many orders had been taken from the palace this weekend for the ball.

"Everythin' alright?" she slipped in and put her things down on the side, "Just that, though it's not my place to intrude or anythin', but he seemed rather angry, sir," she looked at him and shrugged, "But as I said, it ain't my place to ask... So, where's the lucky lady?"
She shot a smile at him despite the fact that she was currently pooing her pants from having them both in the same building.

Stealing Couldn't be Funner - Page 23 Empty Re: Stealing Couldn't be Funner

Post by InioMika Tue Sep 21, 2010 1:37 pm

I pulled my hand through my hair, ruining the style it once had, I was stressed that was for sure.
"Nothing to worry about, just an arrogant fool who decided to take other peoples matters into his own hands" I told freedom, her uncle was a man who managed to dig under my skin that was for sure. How dare he have one of my workers whipped for a simple mistake with some wine.
I walked over to the study door, smiling as I saw Maria waiting nearby as always.
"Come in Maria" I half-heartedly smiled to her closing my study door behind her.
"I hope you have everything you need" I told her, my mind busy.

I needed to sort out my buisness paper work, that and have my now whipped worker taken care of.
"Jason" I called opening my study door again, a small boy ran up to me, "could you make sure Markus is taken care of" I told him before leaving to sit back behind my desk.

"Right, let's get started," she smiled as told Maria to stand upon the box, "Now, is there a certain style that you want? High neck? Low neck? I can do any..." she knelt down and took the leg measurement of her, jotting it down on the pad that she had to her side.
"'N' also," she bit her lip, "I was thinking about doing like a two-colour kinda thing, I have the other material colour so you won't have to pay extra, it's because I like a bit of challenge, but of course you can turn it down. love."

"erm my lord?" Maria shyly asked, I looked up from my work,
"whatever you want" I smiled to her before putting on my reading glasses, calculating the difficult sums of the prices my customers owed me, my face concentrating furrowing my eyebrows as I did. They made me look different I thought, possibly showing the finer lines of my cheek bones.

"Erm than can I have it high necked please? and a suitable fashion" she blushed "If you think two colours would be better..." she trailed off thinking it would be better if the seamstress decided overall.

erm dono, see how it goes i suppose?

Freedom finished up the sizing of the dress, I pushed the glasses further up my nose finishing the last of my work.
"Thank you Freedom, I expect the dress to be ready before next thursday" I said only afterwards realising my mistake. I was so focused in work my tongue slipped her name. Now she knew I knew who she was.

Beginning the pack up her stuff she sighed, "If I have it done earlier I'll send it over to you though, I tend to do them quickly nowadays," she picked up her bag
"And I never said my name," she said simply as she smiled at Maria as she exited the room, her eyes looking at him; it was obvious he knew, maybe she should just say anyway, get it over and done with, y'know?
"And either way I only took this because I was running low on cash, and I don't want to be a noble again unless it's a last resort despite the mountain of cash and whatnot here. It's too...unpure," she sighed and leant against the wall, losing the eye contact, "And I also suppose that you're gonna try and loop me round so I do? But I'm no expert on noble gents, I lost that when I was seven, eh?"

I chuckled, she took it rather well I see.
"Miss, I think you know as well as I, that your identity was always obvious to me" I smiled, even with a mask on her burn was obvious, not something she could hide easily.
"I would never 'loop' you round as you phrase, and you will find i'm not a normal noble, so I do not believe it matters if you lost your 'expertise' when you were young." I removed my glasses entwining my hands, leaning back on my chair.
"Besides, if you enjoy making dresses so much I am happy to provide you with this" I smiled

She rolled her eyes, "Yeah, well either way I'll have to make a decision soon whether I do or not, my 18th's on..." she counted on her fingers, "...Thursday actually. To be honest I can either stay back in the Lower End and be a theif and seamstress or become a noble and inherit my father's money and land from my uncle."
She looked at him, annoyed that she could be such an idiot as to let herself be known to him, tilting her head forward as she muttered a few words.
"I guess that I should leave, I need to get started on that dress, unfortunately the hem's gonna be hard to do... And I never said that I enjoyed doing this, it's just something that I find easy enough to do and that rakes in a fair bit when you get it right."

Stealing Couldn't be Funner - Page 23 Empty Re: Stealing Couldn't be Funner

"A theif is not a worthy living Miss, and I think you should consider what it is your brother wants for you, as well as what your father would have wanted" I told her my tone serious.
"Though, if you do decide to remain dead to the world, I hope you get by well with the riches you have recently gained. Though I somehow doubt, I would see you again miss, which I must say, does dissapoint me" I half smiled, my lips upturning in the right corner.

At that moment another knock on my door interupted,
"Yes?" I answered as one of my workers walked through.
"My lord, a letter was delievered to you at the palace, it has been formaly brought here to you" Jason tilted his head holding a silver tray with the letter on. I raised an eyebrow, the palace? Anyone who would wish to contact me know where I live.
Jason walked over to me handing the letter, I shooed him away intensly interested in the contents, opening it delicatly with a letter opener.

[i]( what do you want the letter to say? as it is the one Freedom sent lols)

Stealing Couldn't be Funner - Page 23 Empty Re: Stealing Couldn't be Funner

(Just that they needed to talk about the 'card' thing bascially, but you're welcome to buff it up a bit)

Freedom blushed slighty as she realised that it was her own letter; it wasn't her fault that Paolo didn't know his way to here, he didn't have any reason to.
"You don't need to read that," she said lazily, trying to get him to stop reading due to her not having a care in the world, but at this point she was talking about the thing with her uncle being a blob that only cared of himself and such.
Freedom decided that she was gonna try her fancy scrawl for this as, as she was kinda hoping to previously, that she was going to come off of the streets and into the courts. Then, it hit her; what she had written for her last line:

...and I still owe you that dance...

She felt kind of bad for not taking his hand despite the fact that it would wreck Jon's reputation, but he would live alright.

I grinned as I read the letter and her attempt to stop me,
"Miss Freedom, now is better time then any to talk about that 'card' though, as you clearly stated you do owe me a dance, and I would be honored to take up the role, however" I wasn't sure how she would take this, hell I wasn't sure if i should say it.
"Next thursday, there is a party the prince is throwing, only for exclusive noble's such as myself and a guest. If you would come with me, stating your true title and revealing your presence, we can have that dance, and then I may be able to free your dear brother"
It was a crafty idea, though she didnt know even if she didnt accept I would free her brother anyway. I was already trying to find the appropriate contacts since she spoke of him at the masquerade ball.

Gordon Hylia quietly snuck through the low end streets, hidden away behind a cloak. He knocked on a door he knew to belong to a man name tanner.

She gulped, "Really?" she'd been clinging onto hope for so long! Now her chance was here, "Next Thursday? Okay..." she nodded, she wanted to get this done and overwith to be honest and plus it was the only way that she could free her brother.
"I shall gladly except your invitation m'lord," she curtseyed, grabbing the edges of her coat instead of the hem of a dress, "But I shall have to get a new dress...yippee."
She couldn't stop beaming though, everything was gonna turnout okay! Finally!

"Nothing too fancy like the other night, call it a gathering for the princes own amusement" I said, rather happy she had accepted.
"If you feel even more uncomfortable, I'm sure your friends could sneak in easily as waiters or staff, the prince never notices who works for him. A large flaw of his" I gladly gave away that important piece of information, the prince was an arrogant jerk.

Really? She'd have to remember that for later, that might be a good bit of knowledge to have under their belts.
"Okay, if you say so," she shrugged happily, "But it might be best if I went without them, we were never close..." she sighed because unfortunately it was true, the only person that seemed okay right now was Keith...Jasmine could be okay but she could also be flipping annoying. (no pun intended)

I smiled, "I fear for your safety though, if you really are going to reveal your true name, anyone there may try to hurt you. Your uncle or his 'friends' for example, and i'm afriad I won't be able to be with you at all times. No matter how much I may want to be" my voice was calm, yet strong showing I meant what I said, even though my face had a joking look to it.

"No matter how much you may want to be?" she raised a brow at that comment, a small smile appearing on her lips, "Either way my uncle can't do anything, he's the imposter here, the one that had his wife killed off so that he could get some extra cash and a new wife; she's actually working in his kitchens or something," she shrugged, "But he usally picks unmemorable, plain yet beautiful women to do that with, I wouldn't pass off; my mother's amber eyes and the burn scar..."

Gtg, I'm sleepy...
