Keith looked down, "Sorry you had to see that, Jacko didn't want anybody to see something like that happen." Keith paused, "Their has to be more than just visiting a person you don't really like though?" Keith asked.

Last place anyone would look for me. Thats why I didn't want to go to the masqurade, thats why I don't like crowds. I don't want people recognizing me, they all think I'm dead." I said finishing and looking down. I sighed I had needed to get that out.

I sat down in my study, my fingers entwined as I frowned at the gentleman before me, Freedom's uncle. She should be arriving soon enough, I need to settle this matter quickly.

Freedom sighed as she pulled up, her hair flicked over her face to hid all traces of scars. She tapped on the door as Maria, the girl from earlier, answered it, blushing slightly.
"Please come through," she smiled as she led the seamstress up to Ruben's study for some reason.
The place was pure perfection with huge hanging paintings and chandlers. Freedom didn't get why the nobles needed them, they just hung there and looked pretty, but what was wrong with a candle? Honestly.
"Sir, the seamstress has arrived," she tapped on the door as it opened.
Freedom had no clue what to expect, she just wore her normal clothes, something that most people would throw in the bin, not that they had holes or anything, they just looked a tad scruffy.
She walked in and nodded at Ruben, then froze. Her uncle was here?! He knew!
Freedom began to fiddle with her fingers a bit as she smiled at Ruben, "Should I be leaving until this meeting is sorted?"

"O-okay," she slipped outside; technically it wasn't her fault though, it was Maria's but she didn't couldn't be helped.
What the hell was he doing there? I should just leg it now... she thought, her eyes looking at a huge portrait of Ruben, damn they made him look handsome. Leaning against the wall, she stared at the various points of him; slick black hair but not greasy, a face chiselled by an angel, deep brown eyes full of of emotion without a try...and she was falling for him like many noble women before her, Great.

(Am I meant to control the uncle? Sorry I'm knackered so my brain is dead...)

"Gordon!" I shouted loudly my anger no doubt escaping through the thin walls. "I do not take kindly to your actions against my workers" I snarled at him.
"He was an incompetant servant, its better that I had him whipped for his mistake" Gordon pulled an arrogant face, burning more of hatred for him.
"I deal with my workers how I choose to. You have no right to lay a hand of them" I paced, I felt as though steem was pouring out of me.
"I was doing you a favor" Gordon growled "Now you don't have to punish him" he folded his arms standing put.
"It is my responsibility to deal with 'my' workers" I calmed sitting down at my desk, I had to keep my resolve, I couldnt loose it infront of Gordon.
"If you ever lay a hand on one of my workers again, I will have you stripped of all that you own immediately" I stared at him, his face expressing shock, fear then anger.
"Over a worthless servant" he shouted this time raisng his arms.
"I expect the next five months payment this saturday" I said to him, his gambling problem had given me a delightful control over his life. "no less" I eyed him deadly so he understood he would suffer if he didnt come up with it.
He seemed to sizzle in anger at me, "You'll get your damn money Ruben" he said before slamming the door behind him.
I buried my face in my hand sighing in discontent. Anyone nearby would have heard all of that with the volume of our voices.

"Gambling problems?" she watched as her uncle wobbled down the stairs, "Since when?" she let out a sigh after hearing every word of that. Should she go in?
Tapping on the door, she sighed and waited for an answer; she should have just left and come back in an hour, there was the swing that she used to come as a kid down the lane here, she could easily head there and let her hair down for a bit.
"What happened?" Maria ran around the corner, a concerned look spread on her face, "What was that?"
"I don't know," she whispered a lie as she sighed; this was going to be a sour meeting...
