Jac runs a hand through his hair. "She had." He couldn't remember exactly what it was, "Some problem in her stomach, cancer or something. Could that be the problem?"

The doctor nodded, "Probably. That's information that could help us. You can stay with her if you want to." He said as he left.

Jac nods to the doctor as he leaves, sitting in one of the stiff chairs and leaning back realizing there was nothing he could do.

Alice's eyes fluttered open, the whites a horrible red and the green a dim sickly color.

His head rests in his hands, eyes closed against the room, he listened for any change but didn't expect much. He was tired beyond belief.

Alice couldn't really move so she used her eyes to look around. "J-Jac." She whispered, her voice weak.

"Your awake." Jac says, standing. "Do you need a nurse?"

"No." She whispered quietly, eyes weak and sickly. "W-What's h-happ-pening to m-me?"

"Your in the hospital, they say your hearts weak. They're trying to find something to help you." I tell her standing by her bed, staying a step away not wanting to hurt her.

Alice nodded slightly, letting out a gasp of pain. It hurt so much to move. "Don't leave me." She whispered.

"I won't." I tell her, going closer to the bad and resting my hand on the side rail. I wondered for a moment if the doctors would be able to do anything soon.

Alice smiled weakly, "Thank you." She whispered, eyes fluttering shut as she passed out into sleep.

Jac nodded, not wanting to wake her he padded silently around, before sitting down again, knee bouncing.

Alice's breathing quickened in an instant, sweat beading on her forehead as her fever grew warmer. Her head fell to the side, facing Jac, a pained and scared look taking over her once peaceful and happy features.
