Alice smiled a little at the idea. It was true. He was doing okay...But she'd be a rogue...But then again that would be okay. She's always been on the run, a loner and an outsider.

"I can help if you want." I say, it was risky for me, but it was the least I could do, I'd abandoned everything once Dylan died, I never even thought of Alice. I should of.

Alice looked up at Jac, eyes wide. "J-Jac..I-I can't ask that. It could get you in trouble." She whispered softly, genuine worry in her eyes.

Alice opened her mouth to say something then shut it, nodding. She looked back to the road, sighing. Her muscles shifted and tensed up as she felt numerous eyes watching her. Or so it seemed.

I park outside a small building that houses a deli. "I'll be right back, alright?" I ask, stepping out and grabbing the bags from the back. "We'll work out a plan when I get back." I close the doors, tapping the windows in signal to lock it. Walking behind the building I knock on the door, waiting for Drew to answer.

Alice quickly locked all of the doors, feeling herself trembling and the panic in her rising horribly. She unbuckled her seatbelt, pulling her knees up to her chest and hugging them. She wondered why she trusted Jac so much, why he reminded her of Dylan.

After handing off the bags I walk back to the car, not wanting to leave Alice for long. I felt responsible now, trying to make up somehow for what happened. I knock on the window with my knuckles trying to get her attention to unlock the doors.

Alice flinched, letting out a small scream from the sudden tap. She snapped back to reality as she let out the small scream and quickly unlocked the doors, her hands shaking slightly. She quickly stretched her legs out before buckling the seatbelt again.

Opening the doors I look at her with concern. "I'm sorry, didn't mean to scare you.I just forgot my keys." I turn on the car and pull away, heading the direction of my house. "Are you alright staying in my guest room?" I ask, not wanting to overstep bounds. "I can get you a room somewhere else if you'd like."

Alice shook her head. "N-No. No it's alright." Her voice cracked for a reason that she only knew. She hung her head, her deep brown hair creating a curtain around her face so she could hide the pain that was planted on her face.

I glance again at her, we weren't far from my home but even the short silence would be awkward. "So how have you been." I ask, this time not wanting to know about the gang.

Alice frowned then closed her eyes. "Not so good." She sighed, truthfully. He knew about her sickness, so did Dylan. But he was gone now.

I frown as I pull into a smaller quiet neighborhood out on the edge of the city. "I'm sorry to hear that." To be honest I wouldn't be doing as nearly good as I am as if I hadn't gotten out. "How bad is it?"

I glanced at her as I pull into one of the identical houses, this one a pale green and nicely trimmed lawn. "When was the last time you went to see someone about it?" I asked, turning off my car but not making a move to get out.

Alice looked at him, revealing how her the whites of her eyes were a very light tinted red. "A few months ago." She said quietly.

That was too long, she should be getting treatment, or something. "well then maybe when things get settled we'll set an appointment." I tell her, popping open her door. "But tonight we'll make you feel at home."

I sadly smile at her and lead her up to my home, arming my car before unlocking my door. It was a nice neighborhood but you never knew. "Here we are, home sweet home." I say, voice flat. I walk in showing a living room to the right, stairs to the left, and at the end a large kitchen. All furnished warmly.

Alice blinked and that's when it hit her. The agonizing pain in her stomach that felt like someone was jabbing a knife into her stomach, over and over...She let out a cry of pain, clutching her stomach, gasping.

My eyes widened as I hurried to her, supporting her and not knowing how to help, "Alice?" I said uselessly, my hands hovering around her hands, "Alice." I say again.

"J-Jac. I-It's hurting." She whimpered through gasps as cold sweat beaded on her forehead. The pain shot into her lower back, circling from her lower back to her abdomen. It was practically killing her.
