Tapping my fingers to the music on my wheel I almost don't see the girl infront of me, cursing when I do. I hit the brakes hard and fast, listening to the tired screech against the road. Turning I stop a foot or two from her, parallel to her stiff body.
"Are you crazy?" I bite out, heart racing. My eyes widen when I look to the girl, not expecting a familiar face. "Alice?" I ask, voice still sharp with adrenaline.

Alice's eyes widened even more, "J-Jac?" She asks, her voice filled with hurt, shock and something that was more like sheer terror. More tears rolled out of her gray eyes.

Looking at her a concerned expression washes over my face, the soft spot I had for her coming back, only because of him. I turn off my humming and jump out, walking over to her side cautiously. "I'm sorry I didn't mean to scare you." I say quietly, not wanting her to cry because of this. "I didn't hurt you did I?"

[Dylan]

Alice shook her head, she didn't notice that she was shaking and shivering. It was cold out and she only had a tanktop, a light pair of skinny jeans, and light boots on.
"J-Jac." She said, crying again and hugged him. Jac was one person she felt that could understand. One person that she could talk too.
She didn't know why she hugged him, maybe because he reminded her so much of Dylan?
She didn't know. All she did know was that she wanted to get as far away as she could from her gang.

Phantom: I get up and smile. "Sounds like fun." I answer. I turn to Ash and give him a pat on the back and Follow Jackai.

I stand stiff for a moment, before putting my arms around her lightly. I hadn't seen this girl in forever, not wanting to once Dylan was gone. "Alice." I say back, feeling the goosebumps on her arms. Something more than just getting hit was wrong with her. "Whats wrong Alice?" I ask, "Are you okay?"

Jakai: I walk out to my car, getting in the driver's seat and revving the engine. I wave to Phantom to get in.

Alice pulled away shivering and shaking. She hugged herself, teeth chattering as she spoke. "A-Alcide and I got into a fight. Me and the whole gang did actually. I don't know where else to go and I-I can't be there. Not now. Not for a while." Her voice came out sad and like she was alone. The same voice she had when Dylan died and ever since his funeral, she'd changed.

Jakai: I pull out of the parking lot smoothly, going just a few miles over the speed limit to get to the building first. "You okay?" I ask after a few tense moments in the car.

I frowned as I looked at her shaking figure. "Oh." I didn't know what else I was suppose to say. I looked back at my car then back at her biting my lip. "If you want you can come with me." I say, knowing this might not be the best move. "I've got to make a delivery but then we can figure something out." I rub my arm, thinking again for a moment before reaching into my passenger set, where my coat was discarded and holding it out to her.

Phantom: I nodded slowly. "I just don't have the best times in cars thats all, after almost getting hit many times then finally getting hit. You kind of get alittle tense around them." I explain slowly feeling my shoulder hurt like it does whenever I'm tense.

Alice looked at the coat then up at Jac. She sniffled and gently grabbed it, murmuring a quiet 'Thanks' as she slid it on, then crossing her arms close to her chest. "I just don't want to be alone." She whispered in a scared tone but being completely honest.

Jakai: I grimace. "Got that. Things like that..." I shake my head. "I remember when Ash came from his first race. He was pretty traumatized and he hasn't really been the same since..." I trail off. I glance over at Phantom as I park in the drive way. "We're here." I offer a smile.

Phantom: I smile back but waste no time from getting out of the car. "You can call me Jac if you want. It's not my name, but I do like it." I say smiling to her.

Looking at her I think of Dylan, and I frown trying to ignore the dull ache in my chest. "Well then you'll be coming with me. I can't just leave you out here." I say turning to my car I open the door glancing at her. "Coming?"

Jakai: I grin, slipping out of my car only to met with a huge hug from Hanna.
"Oh my goshness! It's been so long!"
My eyes widen. "Um...three days?" I start. She nods vigorously.
"Yes!" Hanna looks over at Phantom. "Who's she?" she asks curiously.
"That's...Jac," I wink over Phantom as Hanna beams again.
"Really? That's like Jakai! But without...'ai'..." She trails off.

Jakai: I take Phantom's arms and lead her past Hanna. Once Hanna is out of ear shot, I lean toward Phantom. "Don't go trusting Hanna so quickly. She's a bright kid who's just a little too perky for my taste. I've seen what she can do with a smile on her face." I shudder, letting her arm go as we get to the building's door.

I hum in response. "I'm sorry. I know how that is." Its why I'd left, other than the obvious. I didn't want to deal with the gangs and their problems, but theres only so far you can go.

I take my eyes from the road for only a moment to look at her. "You don't have to." I say earnestly. "I got out, and am doing fine. You can too." My words were half true, I was only a champion, a roaming one at that, she was a rogue, I didn't know how hard it would be.

Alice smiled a little at the idea. It was true. He was doing okay...But she'd be a rogue...But then again that would be okay. She's always been on the run, a loner and an outsider.
