"The person, N-Neferet, took out a shotgun and I-I yelled for my mom to watch out but it was too late. Neferet pulled the trigger and blew my mom's chest out. By the time I got there, Neferet was gone."

I look up at Valentine, tears sliding. "I miss her so much." I start sobbing. I still remember my clothes covered in her blood, me holding her and begging her not to leave us. Dad came and he begged her, telling her how much he loved her. I buried my face in my hands.
