Kiara: I guessed I was stuck with crawling. It hurt. Wriggling around a forest is not the best way to avoid scratches and bruises. By the time I'd gotten, what, a meter away? I was covered in them. Stupid rocks. I was actually getting somewhere...

Violet: A lone cenature... Perfect. I ran out infront of it and slit it's veins in the back legs where they were thickest. I let the body drop to the floor before I licked my blade from blood... "Perfect..." i said as I drank.

I startled awake to the first note of the songbirds, the fight I'd had with my father fresh in my mind. An angry groan slipped from my lips, but I rose, and dressed anyway. Garnet was waiting for me by the door, and I slipped out before Dad was awake.
Mornings this deep into the forest were always filled with the sounds of waking animals, even in the middle of the camp. From the Mess Hall roof Garnet and I kept watch as the town yawned and rubbed her eyes. What a strange pair of sentinels we are? One girl, one beast?

The early risers started leaving their houses and meandering this way, probably to get a quick, cold meal before work started. The ones who new me well, who were used to my high perches waved cheerfully. I smiled. We'd go down when a few the other trainees arrived.

Violet: "Get lost... Quickly." I snapped, in a voice not like my own. My eyes glowed silver... I wasn't in my human state. Highly dangerous for people that were around, but much easier for a killing...
