Cruel Times

The day those words rang from my father's mouth I knew they were true. I knew I would not forget them. However, as we struggled through every day I found myself wondering. I mean after all, if that was true then why did we work so hard for the safety of others? So they could have a few more good times? Why even bother saving them from the Empire?
One day, as I walked through the steaming jungles the Rebels camped in I realized that by saving all these people, we weren't giving them a couple of good laughs. We're giving them the choice to decide the good and bad days for themselves.

Personality: Sarcastic, critical, snarky, angry at the world, but once you get her to open up, she's the most caring person you will ever meet.
Appearance: Bleach blonde hair that's always up in a high ponytail, sparkling blue eyes, and blood red highlights in her hair. She always wear gray skinny jeans and a black hoodie.
Empire or Rebel: Rebel
Weapon: Twenty knives hidden in various places all over her. Two guns in holsters at her hips. Throwing stars, and lots of them. And she has one power that she needs to control and master: Darkness/Shadow Manipulation.
History/Other: The Rebels want to get rid of her since she so mean, but they need her because she's their best fighter. She also has thirteen piercings: Five in her right ear, four in the other, one in her nose, two in her bellybutton, and one in her bottom lip.

Weapon: Odachi ((It's a thin sword)) with a long silver ribbon tied to the end for dramatic effect. It's name is Ashrah. She carries Ashrah on her back. She also carries Ashrah's twin, Kale, on her right hip. Kale's blade is black with a dark gray ribobon tied to the end, like it's sister. She has a dagger on her left hip and another in her boot.
History/Other: Her family was killed in front of her by the Empire. She escaped and seeks revenge. But she also wants to protect as many people as she can.

I yawned in feighned boredom, as we sat in the training ring. Dad required all rebels to train until they turned nineteen.

Violet: I walked through the forest's path, looking around. I knew the Rebel's camp was around here somewhere... I looked around... No one was around, except a girl in a ring... I walked through it... I had business to deal with...

I whirled around. An empire's girl in the middle of the Rebel's camp? I raised my sword, "Who are you?"

Violet: "I'm here to talk to a Pyralis... I have business with him..." I told her, I took the sword my my telekinesis... "I wouldn't do that if I were you..." I tossed it to the otherside of the ring.

Rowan: I walked into the ring to see the beginnings of a fight. I was definitely in if that was the case.

Narcissa-- I watched from the top of the bleachers as three people in the ring people started to brawl. I pulled out one of my throwing stars and tossed it down, narrowly missing the intruders face. She looked up at me, but before she could do anything, I jumped down and landed right before her with a thud.

Violet: "What?" I asked. I looked at the star and sighed... They all had weapons of metal... No powers... "Anyway, I'll be on my way..." I said pointing to the main tent.

Sauda: I continued to sit, crouched in the bleachers. Another girl had jumped down from them and into the ring. If things got any nastier, I was definitely going to be a part of this.

Caela: I walked into the group, a slight smile on my face. I moved over to Narcissa. "What's the deal?" I asked. I was the only rebel with mind powers... Well, that wasn't close to retiring.

Narcissa-- I sensed the darkness in her mind, but I couldn't read the thoughts. Only the more powerful could do that, and I was just learning. "I don't know. I can sense the darkness, but I can't do anything past that."

Sauda: I leaped down into the ring, not making a sound when I hit the ground. Stealth, a specialty of mine.
